NCIS: Los Angeles alum Renée Felice Smith took to her Instagram on Monday to show off one of her dogs in a seriously adorable snapshot.

The pic features one of Renée Felice Smith’s pups lounging in a doggy bed while soaking up some sunshine indoors. “Goose man google would approve of this little scruff-bucket me thinks. #alfietherescuemutt,” the actress gushes in the post.

Fans of Renée Felice Smith also gushed in the Instagram post about the dog’s cuteness. “The cutest lil scruff-bucket there ever was!” one fan wrote. “Aw! I just want to snuggle that cute face!” Another added.

Renée Felice Smith is currently promoting her adorable children’s book, Hugo and the Impossible Thing. The story, which was co-written by Renée’s partner Chris Gabriel, is about her dog, Hugo, who has one goal – to conquer the Impossible Thing. The synopsis reads, “At the edge of the forest stood the Impossible Thing. All animals in the forest often wondered what was beyond the Impossible Thing, but no one had ever tried because getting through it would be …impossible. So why even bother? That’s when a brave little bulldog named Hugo decides he just might be up for the challenge. With determination and some unexpected help from his friends, Hugo learns that what may seem impossible might just be possible after all.”

Hugo, in real life, notably overcame a life threatening illness. He passed away from a brain tumor.

Renée Talks Departure From Hit CBS Series ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’

Renée Felice Smith recently said goodbye to the hit CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles. Her character, Nell Jones reportedly left the show to join her partner, Erie Beale, with his tech venture in Tokyo.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Renée Felice Smith discussed her departure from the hit CBS series and her career’s future. “Well, I think it’s complicated. I mean, I think that I’ve been ready for my next chapter for a while now, in whatever form it will take,” she explained. “But it’s surely to be centered around storytelling.”

Smith also shares her feelings about Nell’s storyline throughout the latest season. “I absolutely loved Nell’s journey this season,” Renée proclaims. “She really got to stand in her power. She really found her voice, and as a young woman it was empowering to play that side of the scene.”

Renée continues, “Nell, I think, is a natural leader, and I really do think her strength as a leader is her vulnerability. I think that Nell has empathy for all players involved in the story. She can see multiple sides of the story. She’s a person that’s not only intelligent but she has emotional intelligence, and that has been such a gift for me as an actor to play.”

NCIS: Los Angeles was recently renewed for an 8th season, which is set to premiere this fall.
