Daniela Ruah is just as lovable in real-life as her character, Kensi Blye, is on “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
After spending 11 years with someone, it’s difficult not to get emotional when saying goodbye. So, we certainly understand Daniela Ruah‘s heartfelt message to her costars, Barrett Foa and Renée Felice Smith. Foa plays Eric Beale on the show. And Smith plays Nell Jones. All three stars have pretty much been with the show since the very beginning. Ruah penned a farewell message to her two friends and co-stars via Instagram.
Along with several photos, she wrote, “Though I hugged you both tightly on our last day of season 12, it breaks my heart that Neric have spread their wings and ventured into new arenas…Do you know how lucky I am to work with people I adore? Whose multi talents I look up to and am inspired by?”
Ruah then spoke directly to former “NCIS: Los Angeles” star Renée Felice Smith.
“Sweet @reneefelicesmith your ability to creatively and truthfully tell a story is unmatched. Your chutzpah & humility, encouragement & friendship made the last 11 years even better. I love you, I admire you and I will be applauding every new venture that comes your way.”
Then she wrote to Barrett Foa.
“@barrettfoa 5,6,7,8… fly! I have been singing and laughing with you since the pilot episodes. Just 2 crazy kids trying to figure it all out. Your stage presence and soul-grasping one-man shows have stayed with me for years, and I’ll be in the front row every time I can. I love you!”
Where is Former ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Renée Felice Smith Going?
So, we know Renée Felice Smith is leaving “NCIS: Los Angeles.” And we know her co-stars already miss her. But what are Smith’s plans now that her time with the show is over?
During the season 12 finale of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Smith’s Nell Jones decided not to sign on as the “new Hetty”/Operations Manager. Instead, she decided to join her partner Eric Beale (Foa) on an adventure to Tokyo. Beale planned to pursue a tech venture there. And all of that made for a beautiful conclusion for both the actors and their characters.
But we want to know about Smith’s upcoming projects. During a recent interview, Smith opened up about her post “NCIS: Los Angeles” plans.
“Well, I think it’s complicated. I mean, I think that I’ve been ready for my next chapter for a while now, in whatever form it will take. But it’s surely to be centered around storytelling. I hesitate to be part of the ‘cliché actress’ calling herself a storyteller, but I really am one. I’m a writer. I’m a director,” said Smith. “We are developing television currently. We have another indie in the works. I want to tell compelling stories, poignant stories that offer an escape and chance of reflection for the viewer, so that’s where my focus is.”
