Filming for “NCIS: Los Angeles” is well underway now that we know the latest season will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 10. And with it comes hilarious behind-the-scenes sneak peeks courtesy of our favorite stars.
Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi Blye, updated us yesterday with several hilarious videos on her Instagram Stories. The videos will still be there for a few hours yet, but in case you miss them, here’s a quick rundown.
We start off by seeing the “NCIS” star in a car, masked up and padded with an “NCIS” vest. Accompanying her is fellow co-star Eric Christian Olsen, acting goofy and making conversation.
“You could get your friends, I’ll get my friends, we could do this every weekend!” Olsen said in the video. Ruah eventually turns the camera on another co-star, dancing outside the car. “We could all be friends!” Olsen continues.
When Ruah finally turns her camera away from the dancer, Olsen glances at his reflection in the camera and frowns. “Oh look at that, I got like a perm. Gotta fix that.”
This video ends with some of the crew members coming up to ask her if she’s ready to shoot the driveway. They also ask her to take her mask off for the shoot, which is rainbow-colored and has mini Ruth Bader-Ginsburg faces on it.
‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Daniela Ruah Reveals More Behind-The-Scenes Vids
The “NCIS” star’s stories then cut to her inside the studio, sitting with LL Cool J and some other crew members. In the background, a catchy, sultry jazz tune plays, trumpets and horns blaring. Ruah nods along to the music, then turns the camera to another masked woman in a chair who’s dancing from side to side.
The camera then lands on LL Cool J, sprawled out as a makeup artist darts around him with a powder puff. His legs stretch out in front of him, tapping the ground and kicking it as he snaps in tune with the music.
“Listen to that,” LL Cool J says as he waves his arms. “Give me trumpets!”
Ruah responds by saying, “Oooo he’s feeling it!” She ends her video by setting her phone down and making a heart over her chest with her hands.
We’ll keep an eye out for more behind-the-scenes content from Ruah in the future. We’ll also stay alert for sneak peeks at her in the director’s chair, after her directorial debut last season. She worked on Season 12: Episode 11 of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and it wouldn’t surprise us to see her take another shot at it.
We also wouldn’t be surprised by an NCIS crossover between L.A. and Hawaii. The new spin-off series, set in Pearl Harbor, debuts this fall with Vanessa Lachey as the lead.
