“NCIS: Los Angeles” star Eric Christian Olsen was busy during quarantine. He took the opportunity to bulk up and put on some serious muscle mass. And now he’s taking to Instagram to show it off a little bit. How? Well, by seeing how high he can throw his children in the air, of course.
The Marty Deeks actor is excited about his return to “NCIS: Los Angeles” for Season 13. And his kids are no doubt excited about the new heights they’re going to reach as a result. Whether or not Olsen was hitting the weights for the sake of his portrayal of an NCIS investigator, however, he’s looking shredded. His newfound strength has enabled him to throw his kids shockingly high into the air.
He posted a picture of the classic dad activity on Instagram. But if you didn’t know any better, you’d think his kid was falling from the sky as opposed to being thrown into the air. A day at the beach is all the more exciting when this kind of altitude is involved. The next step is to wade into the water, get even more height on the toss, and let the ocean cushion the fall.
“One of the benefits of heavy workouts during the pandemic is that you have the strength to huck your children higher into the sky…And that’s really the end goal of conscientious parenting, is it not?” the Instagram caption reads.
If it’s any consolation, the kid looks to be having an amazing time up there. By that metric, it’s a fantastic parenting move. And fortunately, the strength required to get that kind of height means the “NCIS: Los Angeles” star also has the strength to make the catch.

It’s an impressive feat, no matter how you spin it. Granted, some level of concern might be warranted if the child looked terrified, was hovering over cement, and/or a muscular father wasn’t directly beneath her. Thankfully, none of those things are the case in the photo.
The “NCIS: Los Angeles” star’s followers wasted no time in having fun with the high-flying photograph.
“I thought it was just some sort of a weird weather we were having brought about by global warming… Some sort of child rain,” one follower hilariously commented.
“Of course it is because it makes you the dad all of the other kids wish their dad was more like!” another added, answering Olsen’s question about conscientious parenting.
“The real question is- what does @swrightolsen have to say about this,” a concerned party wondered, doubting that mom would approve. But what mom doesn’t know won’t hurt her. Besides, there’s a decent chance she was the one behind the camera.
