NCIS: Los Angeles star LL Cool J just posted a silent video of himself in a mask. LL Cool J has starred on NCIS: Los Angeles since its start in 2009. He may be better known, however, for his influence in the music world. The multi-talented star and two-time Grammy Award winner has released 13 studio albums and featured in multiple films.

LL Cool J has received multiple awards and accolades for his work. In 2017, he became the first rapper to receive Honors from the Kennedy Center. He’s also been inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Still, he wants to inspire others to embrace their own power.

“You have the power inside of you to change the world. Believe in yourself,” he wrote in an instagram caption.

The video finds the rapper and actor far from Los Angeles. He stands on Christopher “Notorious B.I.G” Way in Brooklyn, NY. The street is, of course, an homage to late rapper Notorious B.I.G.

LL Cool J grew up in New York, where he began his rapping career. He now stars as ex-Navy Seal Special Agent Sam Hanna on NCIS: Los Angeles.

LL Cool J and the Rest of The ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Cast Primairly Film During the Day

While LL Cool J spent his formative years in New York, he works with a cast and crew that loves to show off the different areas in Los Angeles. That’s why you rarely see an NCIS: Los Angeles scene shot at night. Many procedurals love the more dramatic choice of night shots (all of the CSI: Miami sunglasses at night scenes can attest to this), but NCIS: Los Angeles, likes to stand out.

Each show in the NCIS franchise is shot on location, and that’s an incredibly important part of the show. Each show values its location. The cast and crew behind NCIS: Los Angeles consider the city to be its own character. They want to show their international audience that Los Angeles has a lot more to it than what people think.

“I don’t know if there are many neighborhoods or you know iconic locations we haven’t filmed at yet but it never ceases to amaze me. We’ll show up at a neighborhood I didn’t know existed,” Callen actor Chris O’Donnel told CBS News.

LL Cool J and Other Fan Favorites To Return

While two actors, Barret Foa and Renee Felice Smith, left the show in season 12, LL Cool J will return for season 13. Chris O’Donnell and Eric Christian Olsen will also return. Hetty Actress Linda Hunt will also come back to the show after a season off. She was seriously missed during her time away.

With the series going strong in the ratings and plenty of cast members still on board, the future is looking bright for NCIS: Los Angeles. The show, along with its flagship NCIS and the all-new NCIS: Hawai’i, will return to CBS in the fall.
