In a hilarious superlatives video posted by the NCIS: Los Angeles youtube channel, the stars of the show each said who they thought could best find a shortcut through Los Angeles traffic. While LA is a lot of things, it’s pretty infamous for its absolutely gnarly traffic.
LL Cool J said he was the one who could definitely navigate Los Angeles the best.
But Reneé Felice Smith would disagree. She said that she’d be the best.
“I’m pretty good navigating in my car,” Callen Actor Chris O’Donnell said. “And avoiding the speeding tickets. Knock on wood.”
“Me! Me. I am a shortcut guy,” Barrett Foa said. Hilariously, all of the actors seemed to think that they’d be the best.
The cast has grown quite close over the years that the shows been on air. NCIS: Los Angeles has run for 12 seasons and is quickly going into its 13th. But season 13 of the hit show is going to look a bit different.
‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Season 13 Will See a Cast Shakeup
NCIS: Los Angeles said goodbye to two actors in season 12. In season 13, It’ll welcome an actor back to the cast and welcome in another actor full time. Barret Foa and Renee Felice Smith were sadly the ones to hang their hats. The two left the show and are now pursuing other projects.
Meanwhile, Hetty actress Linda Hunt will be back for season 13. Hunt had to take a break from the show last year due to the pandemic. Hunt, who is older than the rest of the cast, was at greater risk for contracting the virus and therefore had to sit the majority of season 12 out. Fans, however, worried about whether or not she would return to the show.
“The minute I saw her, she’s like, ‘Let’s talk about next season,’ showrunner Scott Gemmill told TV Line “So I think that as tough as last year was, for a lot of reasons, she, like the rest of us, is starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel and feels good about coming back to work.”
Production is also promoting another familiar face to a full-time cast member. If you’re a fan of Kilbride (like a lot of us are), then season 13 may be the best one yet for you. Kilbride actor Gerald McRaney has been promoted to a series regular.
“When you have an actor of Gerald McRaney’s caliber, you do everything you can to make sure you get him as often as possible,” Gemmill told Deadline. “He’s so great because he can do comedy, and he can do drama.”
His character of Kilbride certainly has brought a lot of laughs so far, and many can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to the series as a full-time cast member.
For now, however, fans will have to wait patiently. NCIS: Los Angeles will be back on this fall on CBS.
