Since its debut in 2003, “NCIS” has grown to become one of the most well-known and beloved crime dramas of all time. Since its premiere, fans have come to love the cast, crew, and, believe it or not, some of the casts’ spouses who’ve made appearances on the show.

Although we know a lot about the resident cast members on “NCIS,” what about their real-life spouses?

One cast member from NCIS whose wife has made several cameos on the show is veteran actor David McCallum— known as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, the former NCIS lead medical examiner. Although he retired from the team in 2019, he still makes occasional appearances.

So who is David McCallum’s wife? David McCallum’s leading lady in his life off-camera is Katherine Carpenter. According to Married Celeb, Carpenter is a former actress and model. Today, she works with her husband on philanthropic projects, including efforts for the United States Marine Corps.

The two tied the knot in New York on September 16, 1967, in a small ceremony. After they wed, they welcomed two children: a son, Peter, and a daughter, Sophie.

Before walking down the aisle, the pair met two years earlier, in 1965. She caught his eye while McCallum and his “Man from UNCLE” co-star, Robert Vaughn, were posing for a magazine photoshoot.

At just 21 years old at the time, Carpenter was one of the famous models accompanying the men, and the two soon started dating. After dating for a few months, McCallum got down on one knee on the Fourth of July in 1967.

David McCallum’s Second Chance at Love

However, this wasn’t McCallum’s first rodeo. Katherine Carpenter was his second wife. As it turns out, McCallum and Carpenter started dating while McCallum was still finalizing his divorce from actress Jill Ireland.

McCallum and Ireland also share three children. However, their marriage came to an end after it was revealed that, during their marriage, she was having an affair with the actor, Charles Bronson.

At the time, McCallum was heartbroken. Yet, once he met Carpenter, his pain subsided. While his divorce with Ireland was still being finalized, McCallum decided to go public with the young model by having her go with him on a publicity tour for “Man from UNCLE.”

After their trip, it seemed apparent to everyone that they were inseparable. Decades later, it looks like that is still very much true.
