When NCIS broadcasts its next new episode, look out for a very familiar face, who has a big connection to beloved actor Patrick Swayze.

That’s because Don Swayze is a guest star for Monday’s episode entitled Peacekeeper. CBS offered this synopsis: “NCIS investigates the case of a Navy reservist whose body is found in a beat-up car at the end of a gun range. Also, Kasie weighs the pros and cons of buying a gun.”

Swayze Isn’t Only Familiar Guest Star on NCIS Episode

Don Swayze guests stars as a character named Pete Walker. We don’t know any details of who Walker is in regards to the storyline. There’s another interesting guest star. Patrick Malone will portray Chuck Gorton. And if you’re a fan of classic TV from the 1980s and 90s, Malone’s name should ring a bell. He was a member of the permanent cast for Cosby Show spinoff A Different World.

Don Swayze was Patrick’s younger brother. The family lived in Houston where mother Patsy ran a dance studio. Her first movie as a choreographer was Urban Cowboy, meaning she helped teach John Travolta all those sweet moves across Gilley’s.

Don’s older brother probably was best known for Dirty Dancing. Sadly, Patrick Swayne died in 2009 of pancreatic cancer.

Don is both an actor and a stunt man. His most recent acting job was playing a gas station owner on the show Lucifer.

So getting back to Monday’s new NCIS episode, CBS has dropped some promos. Part of the episode will evolve around gun parties, the newest trend with women. Jess Knight (Katrina Law) says “[It’s] like a Tupperware party, but with handguns for women.”

Jess teaches Kasie, the team’s forensics analysts, how to shoot a gun. Check out the new promo to glean for more NCIS details.

Rocky Carroll Directed Episode. It’s His 17th of Series

Here’s another fun fact about the new NCIS episode. Rocky Carroll, who plays Vance, the NCIS director, directed the hour. It’s the 17th time he’s directed an episode for the series.

And, we’ve got more cool facts about the series. Following Peacekeepers, NCIS will air an episode called Collective Memory. That’s set for Dec. 6. Agents will investigate the death of a financial advisor. They’ll interview the victim’s three-dimensional hologram of herself. She created the hologram before she died.

One of the guest stars is also a familiar face from classic TV. Stepfanie Kramer, will portray Sandra Holdren. From 1984-90, Kramer portrayed homicide detective Dee Dee McCall on the crime drama, Hunter. Fred Dryer, the former defensive star for the Los Angeles Rams, played Hunter. The series spawned several reunion movies and a reboot.

The last new NCIS episode also featured a 1990s-era comedy star. That was Patricia Richardson, who was Jill Taylor on Home Improvement. Richardson played McGee’s mother-in-law, Judy, who preferred to keep her private life private from her daughter and son-in-law. Then she discovered the dead body of a Navy commander while the two were on a cruise ship.
