CBS has officially added Katrina Law as a regular cast member for the upcoming 19th season of its hit criminal investigation series NCIS.

The actress took to Twitter on Tuesday to retweet a post from CAPE, the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment. “After recurring on @NCIS_CBS, @KatrinaLaw is set to join the cast as a series regular for seasons 19!” the tweet reveals. “Congrats on the bump!”

As previously reported, the 15th episode of NCIS’ Season 18 kicked off with an explosion that killed all the members of an NCIS Regional Enforcement Action Capabilities Teams. One agent survived the explosion, Special Agent Jessica Knight. Katrina Law plays Knight, who helps the team find the person responsible for the explosion. She appeared in the final two episodes of the season.

Katrina Law Joins NCIS Cast

Earlier this spring, CBS announced that Law would appear in the two episodes of NCIS’ eighteenth season. Her character is a formidable REACT Team agent.” Jessica notably specializes in hostage negotiations as well as handles high-risk operations.

“She was raised by a single mother and had to fight for everything in life,” Law’s character description also reads. “Fiercely tenacious and with a wry sense of humor. Jessica is married to a stay-at-home dad who is raising their infant son.”

Law plays Mira on the Stars series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Vengeance. She was Nyssa al Ghul in the CW superhero show Arrow; Karen Beach on The Oath; and Quinn Liu on Hawaii Five-O. Law recently just finished the Hallmark movie A Family Through Christmas, in which she plays the lead.

CBS Also Announces Gary Cole As a Series Regular For ‘NCIS’

Gary Cole is also a series regular for NCIS. Cole will play a new character, FBI Special Agent Alden Park. Details about Special Agent Park have not been disclosed, but he is not replacing Mark Harmon’s Special Agent Gibbs. Cole will help fill the “void” left by Harmon’s reduced on-screen presence in the upcoming season though.

Speaking about the latest cast promotions, executive producer/showrunner Steven D. Binder, shares, “We haven’t shot a single frame quite yet, but with the addition of Gary Cole and Katrina Law to the cast, this is already shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet.” Binder went on to add, “Going into season 19, we are excited to have new characters and stories to tell that adds to and reenergizes the world we’ve come to love over the 400+ episodes.”

Returning cast members of the hit series include Harmon, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, and David McCallum. NCIS will premiere its new season this fall with spin-offs NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles.
