One NCIS star’s new cryptic comment on the show’s new Instagram post is causing fans to speculate. The show is set to air next week, and after months of being off the air, fans are chomping at the bit for more information about season 19. However, it looks like one comment may have been blown a bit out of proportion.
For context: In NCIS season 17, Kasie Hines and Jimmy Parmer were put in a terrifying situation when the diner they were eating at, one that the characters frequent, was invaded by a group of robbers holding them hostage.
On top of posting a photo of Gibbs and investigative journalist, Marcie Warren at the diner, the Instagram account for NCIS hit fans with a throwback photo of Hines and Parmer right before the incident took place.
When Kasie Hines actress Diona Reasonover commented that, “now Kasie gets her bagels to go,” some fans took it as a clue for what’s to come.
“I feel like this comment might mean something that I don’t like the sound of… [skull emoji],” one fan said. How? they didn’t quite elaborate. When questioned on this, they explained that it’s NCIS, so who knows what the show has up its sleeve.
“I’m aware….. I’m just talking about what Diona said….. not the pics….. it’s might be a hint for what’s to come….. who knows with NCIS at [this] point [laughing emoji],” the fan wrote after being told this is a photo from season 17.
Other Promotional Photos for ‘NCIS’ Season 19 Heavily Feature the Diner
It’s a bit of a…. stretch. A leap. But who can blame them? It’s super fun to speculate about possibilities before a show comes back. It’s what helps fans with their impatience during long breaks like this one. It would be incredibly shocking, however, to see anything happen to Kasie this season.
The show has, in fact, been posting a TON of photos from the same diner though for promotional purposes. So while it’s not likely that Diona Reasonover’s comment meant much, there’s definitely something to be said about the use of the diner next season.
For instance, one new promo pic shows everyone gathered at the diner, with Katrina Law and Gary Cole making their appearances as new characters Jessica Knight and Special Agent Alden Park.
“We think it’s about time this diner had a name. Grab a cup of coffee at Elaine’s Diner,” the account wrote in the promotional post.
NCIS season 19 will come back in a shiny new timeslot on Monday, September 20th. The show will pick up right where season 18 left off, shocking fans with Gibb’s near-fatal boat ride. The season will show the team as they track down Gibbs, refusing to believe that he actually died in the explosion that occurred in the final moments of season 18.
