‘NCIS’: What Show May Reveal About McGee’s Personal Life

by Jonathan Howard

Without Gibbs on the team, NCIS fans are going to get a look at the personal life of another longtime character. Timothy McGee gets a bit of backstory.

In an upcoming episode, it looks like McGee is going to be the center of attention. It appears that the new episode looks different from the regular stories this season. However, that is probably because McGee’s story is so different. Fans will get a look into the character’s family including his mother-in-law Judy.

There have been major changes to the NCIS team as fans know. Gibbs is out and Alden Parker is now leading things. Viewers were shocked when McGee wasn’t promoted to Special Agent in Charge. However, that is because the character knows what the job entails. He worked under Gibbs for so many years. He saw the toll it took on his former boss as well as his family. That is something McGee just doesn’t seem ready for, or have any interest in.

Will this new episode show his family’s reaction to not taking the promotion? Perhaps. This is going to be a very personal episode for the character. Fans have gotten a glimpse into his family life, but this looks like it takes that a step further.

His wife Delilah is probably more than happy he isn’t working longer hours. With the kids, they both need to be at home. As for Judy, we will see if she even likes her son-in-law all that much. She has no problem saying what is on her mind. It’s a new episode of NCIS tonight, get ready.

‘NCIS’ Showing a Different, New Side of McGee

After 19 seasons, it is about time that we get a deep dive in Timothy McGee’s life. This is going to be a new look at the NCIS agent. He has been a fan favorite for many years. Now, fans get a look at his life away from the office. It all happens tonight!

The episode title is Docked. The synopsis from CBS says: “NCIS investigates the death of a man on a cruise ship whose body is discovered in the ship’s sauna by none other than McGee’s mother-in-law, Judy.” Now that is juicy information. Fans will recognize Patricia Richardson from the 90s sitcom, Home Improvement. Now, she is a witness to something awful on NCIS.

If you find a dead body on a cruise ship, it might help to have a son-in-law in Naval law enforcement. However, this man was a bit of an intimate partner on deck for Judy. She is interviewed back at the office and the details are going to come out. McGee probably doesn’t want all the details on this case, just this once.
