McLellan Wanted for Kidnapping Amid Custody Battle
Zoe McLellan married actor J. P. Gillain in 2012. They share a son who was born in 2013.
According to a 2020 WDSU report, J.P. Gillian was arrested on charges of abuse of the couple’s son. The charges were dropped in May of 2020 due to insufficient evidence.
Now, the former “NCIS: New Orleans” star is currently wanted for the kidnapping. According to a recent TMZ report, the warrants were issued earlier this spring in L.A. County. The reason for the warrant is outstanding charges of kidnapping. The warrant includes child custody deprivation, and “child stealing” charges. These charges date back to 2017, the report stated.
The alleged incident took place in 2017 when the former “NCIS: New Orleans” actress was in a custody battle with her ex-husband J.P. Gillian.
According to the reports, Zoe McLellan was taking the couples’ son, then four years old, to Toronto while the actress was filming “Designated Survivor” in the Canadian Territory. It is alleged that the actress brought their son along on these trips without permission or consent from the boy’s father.
Gillian has alleged that he hasn’t heard from his son or his mother since the spring of 2019. The situation becomes extra bizarre when the fact that the actress hasn’t been featured in any show or movie since that time, TMZ notes.
