‘NCIS’: Why a ‘Los Angeles’ and ‘Hawai’i’ Crossover Could Be in the Future

Who doesn’t love a good crossover? “NCIS” fans certainly do. It’s always fun to see your favorite television show characters appear in another series. And there’s a reason “NCIS” has been around for almost 20 years – the show knows what fans want. This is why the series has featured its fair share of crossover episodes. In fact, the series often brings the teams together for special missions. And doing so always makes for fast-paced action, intense drama, and some laughs.

Unfortunately, last year didn’t allow for a whole lot of crossover episodes. The pandemic really limited the number of people who could be on set at one time. So, inviting cast members from other shows to join the episode was not an option. Even a single show’s stars often had to film scenes separately at different times. Luckily, all of that seems to be changing for upcoming seasons of our favorite shows. This means that there’s a far better chance for a fun crossover episode between the “NCIS” series.

Can We Expect An ‘NCIS’ Crossover With ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’?

We’re thinking the crossover is pretty likely. The series has a history of introducing new spin-off series with crossover episodes. In 2009, “NCIS” featured two episodes, “Legend” and “Legend: Pt. II.” The episodes served as a two-part introduction to the new spin-off series, “NCIS; Los Angeles.” During the episodes, Special Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and Timothy McGee venture to the Office of Special Projects in L.A. to investigate the death of a marine. However, mid-way through the investigation, they realize that they have a far bigger problem on their hands than just a single killer. There’s an entire terrorist cell rooted in L.A. Of course, the episode was exciting. But it also served as a helpful way to introduce everyone’s new favorite “NCIS: Los Angeles” characters to the world.

All that to say, a crossover with the new spin-off series “NCIS: Hawai’i” is pretty likely. It would make for a great way to introduce all the new characters to the “NCIS” fanbase.

Other Fun Crossover Ideas

Here are a few more crossovers we’d love to see this season. “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “SWAT.” We’d love to see the cast of both of these shows join forces. It could also be fun to watch an “NCIS: Hawaii” crossover with the new “Magnum PI.” Both shows are set in Hawai’i and exist in the world of Hawaii-Five-0 so it could be fun to watch the characters interact. Finally, we’d love to see an “NCIS: Los Angeles” and “NCIS: Hawai’i’” crossover. Actor Eric Christian Olsen already shared his thoughts on joining the new spin-off series. So, fingers crossed, we see the two shows crossover!
