Nicole Kidman is sharing her “Monday Mood” from a recent photoshoot as the Hollywood icon rocks her natural curls.
Let’s be real, Ms. Kidman: very few others are sharing this same “#MondayMood” unless they, too, possess the DNA of Valkyries. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again… No one does it like Nicole Kidman.
Regardless, sharing is caring, and Kidman is oft’ in the sharing mood via her official Instagram. Her Monday post showcases a shot from a recent photoshoot, in which the prolific actress effortlessly sports her natural curls amidst a very “Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman’s Australia” vibe.
This look is, however, far from the one she is currently rocking on set for “Being the Ricardos”. Within, Kidman portrays Lucille Ball through a week of making the sitcom of all sitcoms: “I Love Lucy.”
Nicole Kidman as… Lucille Ball!?
It’s safe to say none of us saw this coming. In one of the more unconventional casting choices of this new decade, Nicole Kidman is, in fact, already deep into portraying Lucille Ball for an upcoming biopic.
“I Love Lucy” is aware, but the world is about to see Nicole Kidman as the comedic genius herself, Lucille Ball. Kidman’s starring in the upcoming film “Being the Ricardos,” which will feature Kidman portraying Ball’s real-life self. The film’s title is a tad confusing, however, as it references the television character of “Lucy Ricardo” rather than Lucille Ball.
The plot will, however, focus on the lives of the “I Love Lucy” leads behind the scenes of the sitcom. Naturally, then, Nicole Kidman fans will also want to know… “Who’s playing her fellow Ricardo, a’la husband Ricky?” And the answer is… as unconventional as casting Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball.
Javier Bardem will step into the shoes of Desi Arnaz. While a brilliant actor, it’s safe to say that Bardem’s trademark, unconventional handsomeness isn’t the obvious choice for baby-faced (and we say that with love) Arnaz. Yet as Hollywood buffs know, it’s often the most unconventional of choices that lead to the most brilliant performances. And with talent like Kidman and Bardem backing these two television icons, we can’t wait to see what “Being the Ricardos” has in store.
And if Keith Urban is to be believed (which he is), then Nicole Kidman is absolutely loving her time playing the icon, too. A sign of great things to come, methinks!
