Tim Blake Nelson will return to the big screen in a few weeks in the film “Old Henry.” According to Deadline, the 57-year-old Oklahoma native will play the title character in the upcoming western. “Old Henry” was the work of Posty Ponciroli, who wrote and directed the film. It is a project of Shout Studios and Hideout Pictures.
“Old Henry” has been described as an “elevated action western.” According to IMDb, the plot follows “a farmer who takes in an injured man with a satchel of cash. When a posse comes for the money, he must decide who to trust. Defending a siege, he reveals a gunslinging talent calling his true identity into question.”
Country Music Star Trace Adkins Also Part Of The Cast Of ‘Old Henry’
The cast of “Old Henry” also includes Gavin Lewis, who plays the character of Wyatt – Henry’s son. Curry, the man they find and care for is played by Scott Haze. Stephen Dorff plays the character of Ketchum. This character leads the group who comes to Henry and Wyatt’s home looking for Curry.
Country music star Trace Adkins plays the character of Al. In addition to this new film, Adkins has just released a new album that features such stars as Stevie Wonder, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Pitbull, Snoop Dog, and Keb’ Mo’.

It is clear from the trailer that there is more to Nelson’s character than just being a father and a farmer. “I got this crazy idea there might be more to old Henry than meets the eye… He didn’t hold that pistol like any farmer I’ve ever seen,” Ketchum says in the trailer.
Tim Blake Nelson’s film “Old Henry” is slated for release in the United States on Friday, Oct. 1. Almost one month prior to that – on Sept. 7 – the film will be shown during the Venice Film Festival.
