Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford Flip Off the Camera in Epic Birthday Post for Judas Priest Legend

Celebrating one of his well-known friends in the music industry, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne took to his social media accounts on Wednesday (August 25th) to wish Judas Priest lead vocalist, Rob Halford, a happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday to @RobHalfordLegacy,” Ozzy Osbourne captioned the post, which features him and Halford posing together while giving the camera the finger.

During a recent interview with Cleveland.com, Halford discussed how Ozzy Osbourne fits into his book, Confess: The Autobiography.

When asked about subbing for Osbourne a couple of times in Black Sabbath, Halford stated, “That guy’s a miracle man. We all love him to death, don’t we? Because of who he is and what he represents. Particularly in rock ’n’ roll.”

Halford also explained that he’s been saying that a lot of the music that Ozzy Osbourne has made over the years is not really remembered as strongly as he should be.

“All the great work he’s done with his solo endeavors. Those great early albums. That’s classic stuff. So, we love Ozzy.”

Ozzy Osbourne Opens Up About His History With Drug Addiction

In a 2004 interview with GQ, Ozzy Osbourne reflected on his drug addiction, which started during his Black Sabbath days. “It was always fun in the early days of Black Sabbath when I stayed away from heavy drugs. Then someone gave me cocaine and I went, ‘Hallelujah!’”

Ozzy Osbourne said upon discovering cocaine, he thought he found the “meaning of life” but everything he tried after that was the same. “The first hit was the best, but I would never get the same hit again. Morphine, f—ing Demerol, Vicodins, f—ing Quaaludes. You name it, LSD, speed.”

The rock legend then recalled just starting to isolate and locking himself in a room to paint and watch TV. “I became a TV f—ing fiend. I never shot up smack [and] I tried heroin once and I didn’t like it. It frightened me.”

After multiple stints in rehab, Ozzy Osbourne finally decided to be serious about recovery.

“It happened recently. Especially after seeing my son [Jack] get it. Christ, before he cleaned up I thought he was smoking a little bit of pot and drinking a few beers. That was f— all compared of what he was doing.”

Ozzy Osbourne also explained that while his wife Sharon was going through chemotherapy, he drank a case of Corona and smoked a load of pot. “She’d come home and say, ‘You’re f—ed up. You’re stoned.’ Call it a moment of clarity. Something inside of me went, ‘Thank God.’”
