Ozzy Osbourne, through all the good and the rock ‘n roll bad, loves his wife, Sharon Osbourne. And he wished her another very happy trip around the sun.
Sharon Osbourne celebrated her 69th, Saturday. Her husband posted a photo of the two of them on Instagram, captioning it:
“Happy Birthday to my love Sharon.” The lead singer of Black Sabbath and his wife celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary back in July. They’ve been a couple for 41 years.
Even Leslie Jordan jumped on Ozzy’s Instagram to wish Sharon Osbourne a happy birthday. Jordan, the actor who became a social media comedy hit during the pandemic, wrote: “Happy birthday Sharon Osbourne. May your cake taste sweeter than ever.”
It’s Been a Turbulent Few Months for Sharon Osbourne
It’s been quite a tumultuous year for the couple, especially Sharon. She parted ways with CBS and The Talk earlier this year. That was after she took up for Piers Morgan, the Brit who lost his own job, in part, because of his comments about Meghan Markle.
And Sharon Osbourne was mocking the controversy earlier this week. Or maybe she was merely celebrating her birthday a couple of days early. She had lunch with Morgan and posted a photo of the two of them at their table. And she captioned it “The naughty corner…lovely time out with my dear friend Piers Morgan.”
Sharon Osbourne acknowledged all her birthday well-wishers with a post chock full of self-reflection.
“Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes!” she wrote. “It means so much to me. This year has been filled with challenges and changes, some of it uncharted territory and some of it what comes along with the ride. All of it valuable. Thank you for all the love. It sincerely does not go unnoticed. Excited to start sharing with you what’s next.”
She had some famous friends hitting reply to her post, including Amanda Kloots, one of her former co-hosts on The Talk. Plus, she received birthday greetings from Izzy the Frenchie. That’s the account maintained by Olympic gold medal-winning diver and fellow Brit, Tom Daley.
Sharon Says No to a Full-Time Return to TV
Part of that self-reflection is her decision not to return to TV, at least for any full-time projects. She always managed Ozzie’s career. But she became famous thanks to MTV’s The Osbournes, a ground-breaking reality show. Then she had her stint on The Talk.
“Right now, (television is) not a safe place to be,” Sharon Osbourne told The Daily Mail. “Because the slightest thing — the slightest word — and you’ve pissed off half the nation. I don’t want to put myself up for that grief. I really don’t.”
Two of her kids — Jack and Kelly — are co-hosting a show for Discovery+ later this month. It’s a scary, paranormal show called Jack and Kelly Osbourne: Night of Terror. Basically, they’ll hunt ghosts.
