“The Prince of Darkness” emerged from the shadows to be forever memorialized alongside WWE legends.

Recently, it was announced that Ozzy Osbourne, the famous Black Sabbath rocker, was being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The rocker is no stranger to a hall of fame. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the UK Music Hall of Fame, and even the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ozzy Osbourne WWE Induction

The virtual induction was on April 6. William Shatner, a Canadian actor most known for his role as Captain James T. Kirk on “Star Trek,” also now has a spot in the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Why did the “Prince of Darkness” enter into a wrestling Hall of Fame? Over the years, Osbourne had made several cameos in WWE. He was in “WrestleMania 2” in 1986 alongside Captain Lou Albano. He was in “Smackdown” in 2007 and was a guest host for “Raw” in 2009.

According to Popculture, this is one of the first appearances Ozzy Osbourne has made since a series of health issues. This year, Osbourne went public with his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis. COVID-19 had also caused a pause in his physiotherapy process. He was able to resume his treatment in November 2020.

He has rarely made appearances since. A recent photo of the rocker shows him using a cane for support in walking.

He appeared in a video message accepting and acknowledging his induction. Osbourne also said he doesn’t “deserve it” in response to the Hall of Fame position. Others that also got the honor are Kane, Nikki, Brie Bella, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, John Bradshaw Layfield, the British Bulldog, Molly Holly, Rob Van Dam, and Eric Bischoff.

COVID-19 canceled last year’s induction process. Now fans’ first live WWE encounter will be at the 2021 WrestleMania in Tampa, Florida this coming Saturday, April 10.

iHeartRadio Music Awards

Ozzy Osbourne is also getting recognition for his musical talent at the iHeartRadio music awards.

The winners will be announced from the Dolby Theatre in L.A. live on May 27.

Osbourne is up for the Rock Song of the Year award for “Under The Graveyard.” He is also nominated for Rock Artist of the Year. If he wins, it could be another sighting of the rocker.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, other nominated artists include Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, blackbear, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Pop Smoke, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, and Gabby Barrett.

Some categories are Best Lyrics, Best Fan Army, Best Cover Song, and Best Music Video.
