“Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson and his wife Korie spent Family Empowerment Day – September 15 – recognizing the importance of schooling for children around the world.
Now Korie is posting “throwback pics” of Willie enjoying Family Empowerment days past on Instagram. And Willie has joined in, posting a photo of his own.
In one photo, Willie appears with three kids in green and white school uniforms, all of them laughing. “We aren’t getting to be surrounded by these cuties in this time,” Korie posted. “Like us, these countries were hit hard by Covid, but also like our kids, children all over the world are starting back to school even if it looks a little different this year.”
In another, Willie appears with three kids in blue t-shirts. “Together, we will have the opportunity to EMPOWER hundreds of FAMILIES & CHILDREN through EDUCATION around the world,” Willie posted. “We need one another more than ever during this unique time in history!”
Meanwhile, Korie encouraged her followers to sign up for “The Circle” for $25 a month. She says it is available at the Help One Now link in her Instagram bio. “I know money is tight for everyone right now, there is a lot of uncertainty in the world, but by doing this, you can be certain of one thing, you’ll be a part of changing a child’s life forever,” she posted.
Willie and Korie have partnered with Help One Now, a global charity dedicated to helping to end extreme poverty in impoverished places. The charity, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, aims to help families in developing countries by working with local leaders. They have programs in Belize, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Haiti, Malawi, Peru, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
