Wedding bells rang for the fifth time for former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters. He married Kamilah Chavis in a gorgeous seaside ceremony at his Bridgehampton Estate in New York.
Rogers notified the world of his new bride in a sweet social media update to both his Twitter and Instagram. You can see the happy couple in the pictures below, looking absolutely stunning in a beaded, white lace dress.
“I’m so happy, finally a keeper,” the Pink Floyd band member captioned both posts.
The two certainly look happy, grinning and sharing a sweet embrace. According to The Daily Mail, not much is known about Chavis because she prefers to stay out of the spotlight. The outlet did say that Waters and Chavis have been seeing each other for at least a few years. Their first public appearance was at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.
Back in 2018, the 78-year-old Pink Floyd rocker told Argentinian outlet Infobae, “We are not married, but we have been together for a couple of years. I met her at one of my concerts a couple of years ago. She worked in transportation. She was driving the car that was taking me.”
Waters also said, “I was in one place for two weeks and there were many transfers between the hotel and the stadium. My custodian sat in the front with her and they talked, while I stayed in the back. Something about her attracted me.”
Eventually, Waters put the moves on Chavis by asking her, “Excuse me, did someone ever tell you that you have beautiful cheekbones?”
Who are the Previous Wives of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters?
The Daily Mail broke down Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters’ entire romantic history. This is his fifth wife, and hopefully, in his eyes, the last.
Waters first married his childhood sweetheart Judy Trim in 1969. He was 29 years old at the time. But he and Trim quickly split in 1975.
Just one year later, the Pink Floyd band member tied the knot with Lady Caroline Christie, whom he stayed with for 16 years before they divorced in 1992. Waters and Christie had two children together, a now-44-year-old son named Harry and a 43-year-old daughter named India.
And just a year after that, in 1993, Waters married Priscilla Phillips. Their son Jack is now 24, and the couple divorced less than a decade later in 2001.
Waters’ fourth wife was Laurie Durning, who he didn’t get engaged to until three years after his last divorce. The couple said “I do” in 2012, after an eight-year engagement. But they filed for divorce by 2015.
Per his interview in 2018, Waters must’ve met Chavis around 2016, after divorcing Durning. We wish every happiness on the couple as they explore newlywed bliss.
