The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond may very well love butter more than any other person on the planet. It is a staple in everything she makes.
For all of the fans out there of The Pioneer Woman show, you are more than likely familiar with all of Ree Drummond’s tasty recipes. But do you know the secret to most of them? Well, each one is different, of course. But there is one common denominator, and that is butter.
“I love butter,” she said. “This is a fact that is well established, well known, well-proven, and well demonstrated.”
That new product at the time? It was called Butter with Olive Oil and Sea Salt. And evidently, Ree Drummond was a big fan.
“I’ve tried it. I’ve cooked with it and I’ve smeared it on warm, crusty bread,” she said. “And I can tell you without hesitation that I absolutely love it. It has a slightly lighter quality than regular butter, there’s just a hint of olive oil flavor…and the saltiness is just delish and really sets it apart.”
Ree Drummond Says Her Fridge Is Filled With Pounds of Butter
Now, this interview took place back in 2012, but there’s no reason to think that Ree Drummond has changed her mind about butter. As a matter of fact, she probably has found even more uses for it since then and loves it even more — if such a thing is possible.
At the time, though, she said that her fridge was filled with butter. And when she says it was “filled,” she means it.
“My fridge is filled with not sticks of butter, but pounds,” she admitted.
Let’s be honest for a second — it’s hard not to agree with Ree Drummond on this one. Butter is just one of those ingredients that can turn a bland meal into a masterpiece. And because of that very reason, Drummond says that she believes in “butter.” To illustrate just how much she believes in it, she left her fans with a hilarious quote.
“As an ingredient, I believe in butter. Butter is a church of which I am a member. If butter ran for president, I would vote for it. It adds color, flavor, beauty, and joy to basically everything I cook. It adds meaning to my days. Purpose to my life.”
We can all relate to that. Thank God for butter and all of its glory. If it weren’t for butter, who knows where we’d be. Ree Drummond doesn’t want to picture a world without it.
“What I’m trying to tell you is this, ladies and gentlemen: I wouldn’t want to live in a world in which butter didn’t exist. Have I mentioned lately that I love butter?”
