“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond loves supporting her kids in all of their achievements — even if that means freezing her own butt off.

The cooking star learned a valuable lesson last night at her youngest son Todd’s high school football game: Always pack more layers. Even though it’s fall, sitting on a metal bleacher at night when the wind picks up can be absolutely brutal for parents and spectators.

The “Pioneer Woman” posted the sweetest picture with her youngest son on Instagram earlier today. Though she has a baseball cap and gloves on, it looks like she’s only wearing a fleece jacket and cardigan over her t-shirt.

“I was freezing the entire game. (Note to self: Take your puffy coat from now on just in case, Ree Ree.) I still loved every second. Um, Todd!! I’m so proud of you, son! Go Huskies!!” Drummond captioned the post.

Drummond’s two other sons, Bryce and Jamal, also play football. They may have moved on to the college leagues by now, but you’d still think Drummond would’ve learned her lesson while they were still in high school.

‘Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Debuts First Footage in Christmas Movie’

“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond juggles many hats: Author, cooking star, mother, and wife, to name just a few. But now, she can officially add actresses to the growing list.

Drummond will star in the Food Network’s first-ever scripted feature. It’ll debut on Discovery+, counting as the streaming platform’s first original scripted movie as well. “Candy Coated Christmas” premieres on Nov. 19, just in time to start getting into the holiday spirit.

Earlier this week, Food Network dropped the first behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the Christmas film. We get to see interviews with the cast, which includes Molly McCook and Aaron O’Connell as well as the “Pioneer Woman.” We also see small glimpses from the film itself, which looks to be choc-full of delicious Christmas treats and decorations. Check out the first footage for yourself below!

During one of her interviews, Drummond said, “I am so incredibly honored that Food Network asked me to play Bee. If I get to be in just one movie in my life, I want it to be a Christmas movie.”

In the film, Drummond stars as Bee, the owner of Bee’s Bakery. She lives in Peppermint Hollow, which is the peppermint capital of this fictional world. Eventually, McCook’s character Molly Gallant enters the picture, and Bee helps her out as Molly’s family business faces some trouble. It focuses on family, love, and the struggles we face in life. And, of course, baking Christmas treats.

“I contributed some of my own recipes to Bee’s Bakery, and it’s gonna be fun to see my recipes come to life,” Drummond shared.
