Reba McEntire Just Landed Two Movie Deals With Lifetime
Undoubtedly, Reba McEntire has made a name for herself in country music. However, she’s also carved out a spot in film and television. McEntire made her silver screen debut in 1990 in the movie Tremors. She also starred in the hit show Reba from 2001 -2007. And, of course, she’s currently gracing the screen with her character June in Young Sheldon. So, it’s no surprise that Lifetime scooped her up for two upcoming projects.
Not only is Reba starring in two films for the network but she’s also producing them. The first movie is called Christmas In Tune. The movie stars Belle, a marketing executive who is worried about losing her job. In order to save her job, she decides to reunite a popular singing duo for a charity Christmas concert. But there’s a catch – the popular singers are actually her parents and they haven’t spoken in years. As the couple reunites, they also help Belle find love in her own life.
Filming will begin this spring and the movie will premiere in time for the holidays at the end of 2021. Reba hasn’t shared any details about the second movie except that it’s not a holiday movie and that it is scheduled to premiere in 2022.

“Reba has been a creative force in both music and television for many years. We are thrilled to have her on board to produce and star in not just one – but two movies for us,” said Lopez. “Reba has been part of Lifetime’s air many years ago and we can’t wait to welcome her back.”
Reba also shared her excitement for the new projects.
“I am thrilled to partner with Lifetime for a return to television movies,” said McEntire. “My fans and I enjoy their programming and loved watching the Reba show there for so many years.”
