While enjoying a relaxing and much-needed Hawaii vacation, Riley Keough and her mother Lisa Marie Presley took a snapshot together while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

“Some cute and funny pics,” Riley writes in the caption. The first pic shows her and Lisa Marie Presley snugged together.

This is the first public pic of Riley Keough and Lisa Marie since Presley’s divorce from Michael Lockwood was finalized. The couple were married from 2006 until 2021, but have been separated for nearly five years. They received the judge’s approval to end the marriage in May 2021. This was Lisa Marie Presley’s fourth marriage. She was previously married to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson, and Nicolas Cage.

In a 2016 interview with Esquire, Riley Keough opens up about being related to Elvis “The King” Presley.

“I don’t think [my money] had to do with me being Elvis’ granddaughter. None of my drive was ‘I need to get away from my family legacy,’” Riley states.

Riley Keough also admits that she doesn’t think about being related to Elvis much. “The reality is I know as much about my grandpa as you’d know about a grandpa you never met.”

Riley Admits She Doesn’t Listen to Elvis’ Songs

In a recent interview on “Just For Variety” podcast, Riley Keough says she doesn’t listen to her grandfather’s music usually.

“If it’s on, I’ll listen to it. There’s definitely emotion around it,” she reveals. She also declares that there was definitely a lot of grief around while she was growing up, especially from her mom and grandmother. “There was a sad thing, tragic kind of a thing… so there was definitely that relationship to it.

Riley then reveals there is definitely an emotional experience to listening to Elvis’ music, especially if it’s one of the more emotional songs. “The more gospel stuff, definitely makes me emotional. But I will listen to it if it’s on. I just don’t go putting it on.”

Keough then says that her voice is nothing like her famous grandfather’s. “I’ll tell you what, I just recently learned that I do have a kind of country voice. I realized that the other day in the studio.”

Riley adds she considers her voice weird, but it’s fun, and loves it. “I am always interested in trying things. I have a weird thing where I don’t care if I fail at things, and that has been really helpful in this process.”

Riley’s mother Lisa Marie Presley was 9-years-old when her father Elvis Presley died suddenly from heart disease in 1977. He was active in music from 1946 until his death. Famous Elvis tracks include “Hound Dog” and  “Heartbreak Hotel.”
