Sadie Robertson Huff Reveals the Lesson She Learned During Her First Year of Marriage to Christian
During a December 2020 interview with People, Sadie Robertson Huff revealed the surprising lesson she learned during her first year of marriage. “Christian and I were talking about so many questions when we had our anniversary,” Robertson Huff explained. “Like, ‘What surprised us about each other?’ ‘What did we expect?’ And all these things.”
Sadie Robertson Huff then shared that what really surprised her was that she didn’t even notice just how great a friend he has become to her. “I know he was my best friend, and you say that. You’re like, ‘Oh, they’re my best friend.’ But truly like stepping into that role and just always being a friend. I’m really grateful to look back at a year and say, ‘You’re such a good friend.’”
The Duck Dynasty star went on to say that she thinks whoever someone marries another person or they hope to marry someone, they think of all the whitings that they wish for. And they also think of all the things they want. But they can’t even fully guess what God can really give them and what God can provide through that person.
Christian also helped Robertson Huff while she was sick with COVID-19.
“I’ve been pleasantly surprised, not surprised because he always was, but in a good way of just how our friendship could be,” she explained. The reality TV star goes on to add she felt sick every morning for eight week’s straight and Christian was just there holding her hair through it all. “It’s those things that surprise me in the best way.”
