Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson Huff recently opened up about how the coronavirus has affected her, both physically and emotionally.

The 23-year-old, soon-to-be mom invited her mother, Korie, and sister, Bella to be on her podcast recently. In Wednesday’s episode of WHOA That’s Good, Robertson and her family discussed their COVID-19 symptoms, both emotional and physical.

Robertson initially revealed that she had tested positive for COVID-19 in an Instagram post earlier this week. In her podcast episode, she also revealed how the novel virus spread throughout her family.

Firstly, Bella, 18, got sick. As a result, Korie, 47 got sick next.

Robertson is currently pregnant with her first child. She thought she was in the clear until her  Christian Huff came down with a fever.

“I actually tested negative but I still didn’t feel good about it, and then Christian got a fever and I was like, ‘Oh no, here it comes,'” she said on the podcast. “And sure enough, two days later I was full-on COVID.”

After receiving positive results, Robertson says that her symptoms were mostly physical.

“Mine started with a really bad headache,” she says, detailing the pain and exhaustion she faced. “Like, a different kind of headache than I’ve ever had — it was like a migraine behind my eye. Then I got the cough, my throat was so red and on fire. It was terrible.”

After vomiting due to morning sickness from pregnancy on top of her coronavirus symptoms, Robertson decided to go to the hospital.

“Being so weak and so sick and throwing up as much as I was, I got very dehydrated,” the Duck Dynasty star reveals. “At this point, when I was dehydrated, my chest pain had gotten really bad. I could barely talk and [my] mom came over and was like, ‘You need to go to the hospital.'”

Meanwhile, Korie’s concern began to rise for her daughter and unborn grandchild as Sadie’s symptoms progressed.

“I just remember you looked so pitiful and your voice was so weak, you could not talk,” the mother of six said. “That’s when I knew she was a mom. She’s not just thinking about herself.”

‘It’s Really a Dark Sickness’

Robertson went on to discuss the feelings of isolation and depression that came during her experience battling the virus. Prior to experiencing it for herself, she says she didn’t hear anyone publicly talk about that as a symptom of COVID-19.

“All the physical pain on top of the loneliness of it, the isolation of it, makes you feel this depression that is something that I’d never experienced before,” she said. “I’m not going to lie, I cried a lot.”

“It’s really a dark sickness,” she added.

In concluding the podcast, Sadie Robertson and her family caution their fans to wear masks and to be cautious.

“I’m a very healthy person. I exercise a lot, eat pretty good and take care of myself. I honestly thought if I got COVID it would not be that bad. But no, I had it horribly,” the former reality star said. “So don’t think you’re just going to be fine… it is a really tough sickness that you don’t want to get.”
