We finally got a look at Shailene Woodley’s engagement ring from Aaron Rodgers, and it did not disappoint.
Actress Shailene Woodley recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. During her interview, she talked about her engagement with NFL star Aaron Rodgers. We even got a few glimpses of her giant engagement ring.
Fallon started the interview by asking Woodley about her engagement. He said, “I keep reading that you are engaged to football great, Aaron Rodgers.”
“I’ve been reading that too, which is kind of funny,” said Woodley with a laugh. “We are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news. So it’s kind of funny that everyone is freaking out about it right now. Because, for us, we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”
Woodley joked that, as someone who isn’t really into sports, she never imaged that she’d marry someone who “throws balls for a living.”
“…First off, he’s just such a wonderful, incredible human being,” said Woodley. “But I never thought I’d be engaged to someone who throws balls for a living. I never thought as a little girl, ‘Yeah when I grow up I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.”
“When I first met him, my dog like pulled me aside and was like, “If you don’t date this dude, I will disown you as my mother because the three feet that I run with you when you throw a ball is nothing compared to the marathon that I run with this man,” joked Woodley.
Shailene Woodley Didn’t Really Know Who Aaron Rodgers Was When They First Met
Shailene Woodley said that she didn’t grow up with sports. In fact, she’s never attended a football game. And the first time she ever even watched a game was this year with Aaron Rodgers. She joked that many of her friends tell her that she has to watch Aaron’s highlight reels on YouTube because he’s such a football legend. However, she’s more interested in who Aaron really is, not his NFL star persona.
“When we met, I knew he was a football guy. But I didn’t know what kind of a football guy he is…I don’t know him as the football guy. I know him as, like, the nerd who wants to host Jeopardy! That’s the dude I know,” said Woodley.
Aaron Rodgers’s dreams came true this year. Jeopardy! announced that Rodgers will be a celebrity guest host for the show starting April 5.
Congrats to the happy couple, Shailene Woodley and the dude who wants to host Jeopardy!.
