Sharon Osbourne is leaving CBS’ “The Talk” but she’s apparently taking a queen’s ransom with her out the show’s front door.
No confirmation from CBS or Osbourne about the actual buyout details has been released as of Monday.
The show has been on hiatus and airing reruns. No actual return date to live programs has been set as of Monday.
Osbourne Has Reported History of Racist Comments
There reportedly has been a history of racist comments that Osbourne has made while being a part of the CBS talker.
The heat piled up on Sharon Osbourne, wife of rock music legend Ozzy Osbourne, after she got into a heated discussion with co-host Cheryl Underwood.
On the show, Osbourne defended her friend, talk-show host Piers Morgan, after Morgan criticized Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Meghan Markle.
Osbourne issued an apology for her behavior on Twitter.
‘The Talk’ Co-Host Welteroth, Hairstylist Force Investigation
But co-host Elaine Welteroth and her hairstylist forced an internal investigation on “The Talk.” They spoke out about a “racially insensitive and hostile work environment” after a March 10 episode.
Also, news came out that Osbourne was making salacious racist slurs about former co-host Julie Chen, calling her “slanty eyes,” and show creator and former co-host Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, “p—y licker.”
Osbourne called those allegations “crap, all crap.”
She spent 11 years on “The Talk” before her departure last Friday.
According to the Page Six article, a source close to Sharon Osbourne says she will speak out when the time is right. Osbourne, though, will no longer be a part of “The Talk” moving forward.
What will be Sharon Osbourne’s next move? That’s something everyone will have to wait and see about what happens.
