Sharon Osbourne Posts Sweet Throwback Photo with Ozzy in Wake of Bill Maher Interview

On April 16, Sharon Osbourne went on “Real Time with Bill Maher” to do her first major interview since her departure from “The Talk.” She left the show after being accused of racist behavior, and she took the opportunity with Bill Maher to explain herself. In the wake of her interview, she took to Instagram and posted an old but touching photo of her and her husband, Ozzy.

Sharon Osbourne’s post comes just a day after she offered her condolences to the royal family for the loss of Prince Phillip.

It was Osbourne’s defense of her friend Piers Morgan, who himself was defending the royal family from Meghan Markle’s comments, that landed her in hot water with co-host Sheryl Underwood on “The Talk.” Osbourne stuck to her guns in the interview, maintaining the neither she nor Morgan did anything but cast doubt on Markle’s words. She denies that there is anything racist about her stance.

She chalked up the royal family’s treatment of Meghan Markle to their traditional nature. Believing that the coldness they showed Prince Harry’s wife wasn’t anything to do with Markle personally.

“[The Queen] is from a different generation. They are notoriously non-huggy. I get it, because of her age. She’s from a different generation,” Osbourne said.

The two television personalities discussed the intricacies of free speech in today’s day and age, agreeing on some things and disagreeing on others.

“I’ve been called so many things in my life, I am so used to being called names, but a racist is one I will not take,” she told Bill Maher in the interview.

Sharon Osbourne’s Fans Offer Support

Despite all of the controversy surrounding her recently, Osbourne’s activity on social media has been largely innocent. Her posts have featured funny and nostalgic images of her and her husband, animals, and well-wishes.

Her most recent post garnered plenty of responses from supportive fans.

“Saw you on Bill Maher, well said ! I seriously hope you get your own show and at the same time slot as the Talk !” one follower commented.

“The love you share is inspiring. Love you both” added another.
