Sharon Osbourne Says ‘5 Second Rule’ Is in Full Effect in Hilarious Clip of Husband Ozzy

Kicking off a new week with a good laugh, former The Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne took to her Instagram on Monday (July 19th) to share a hilarious clip of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne.

“5 Second Rule In Effect,” Sharon Osbourne states in the post’s caption. The video shows Ozzy trying to open a pack of gum and a piece falls to the floor. He then grabs the piece of the ground and walks away.

Sharon Osbourne’s followers enjoyed the video, with some even asking for more “Osbourne reality” back with new episodes.

‘The Talk’ Co-Host Elaine Welteroth Is Heard Consoling Sharon Osbourne in New Leaked Audio

Meanwhile, current The Talk co-host Elaine Welteroth is speaking up about the leaked audio clip of her consoling Sharon Osbourne following the on-air blow-up with fellow co-host Sheryl Underwood.

According to the DailyMail, Welteroth was heard on the audio clip apologizing to Sharon for what happened. She also reassures Osbourne that no one thinks she’s a racist. Elaine also believes the co-hosts were set up by CBS. She claims the showrunners initially wanted her to ask the question in order to spark the huge debate.

“They asked me to ask that question,” Welteroth says to Sharon. “I said, ‘no I’m not going to ask that question.’ I said to them, this is going to be a trainwreck.”

Osbourne responds to Welteroth by saying, “Do you know what it is though when you have to sit there and defend yourself? It makes you look guilty because you can’t get out of it.”

Welteroth assures Sharon Osbourne that Sheryl loves and respects her. She even claims that Sheryl had Sharon’s back behind the scenes. “She was not trying to attack you.”

Elaine Addresses the Leaked Audio of Her & Sharon

Following the audio leak, Welteroth addressed the conversation by stating to Entertainment Tonight that she thought everyone had closed the “painful, public chapter” of the controversy related to the March 10th episode. “Today, however, I learned that my private comments made moments after the incident from a place of compassion to [Sharon Osbourne] were recorded without my consent or knowledge. [It was] shared with the media.”

She also says that what she shares now is consistent with what she has already shared on camera. “It is not news that I did not call Sharon Osbourne a racist and it is certainly not news that the way the show unfolded caught us all by surprise”

Elaine then explains that none of the co-hosts wanted that day to go how it did and she does not regret sharing those feelings in a private conversation with Sharon. “I welcome, constructive dialogue and I am no stranger to tough conversations about race.”

Just a few months after Sharon exited the talk show, actor Jerry O’Connell was announced as her replacement. Sharon posted on Twitter that she was “responding to A LOT of emails” but didn’t fully address the news.
