Following Carrie Ann Inaba stating she is officially departing from CBS’ The Talk, former co-host Sharon Osbourne speaks out about the news on Inaba’s Instagram page.
“Wishing you all the success and a beautiful new journey! Luvs ya! ❤️” Osbourne wrote in Inaba’s post about leaving The Talk. This is the first time that Osbourne has actually addressed anything related to the daytime show.
Osbourne was forced to leave The Talk earlier this year after a discussion about her friend Piers Morgan making comments about Meghan Markle. She is one of the original co-hosts of the show, which first aired on CBS in October 2010.
According to Deadline, Inaba issued a statement about leaving the show.
“I enjoyed my time at The Talk as co-host and moderator. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow with the entire [show] family as well as truly connected with viewers on such a personal level and I will miss the show but I am excited for the next chapter both for myself and for the show.”
Inaba Officially Addresses Her Departure From the Show on Instagram
In her Instagram post on Friday (August 20th), Inaba finally revealed that she was officially leaving The Talk. She took a leave of absence due to health concerns last spring. “It has been a wonderful experience and an honor to have been a moderator at [the show], following in the footsteps of two women I very much respect.”
She goes on that she has so many wonderful memories of The Talk and her heart is full as well as content. “I’m truly grateful for all was, all that is (life is in perfection), and all that will be.”
Inaba wished all her friends and family at the show a great season ahead. “I also very much look forward to my own future as well. Life is good. And endings can be as beautiful as beginning.” She first joined the daytime show as a guest co-host in the show’s eighth season (2017).
The now-former The Talk co-host will be returning to Dancing With the Stars next month for its 30th season as a judge.
‘The Talk’ Is Reportedly Now Searching For Another Male Co-Host
Prior to Inaba announcing her departure, rumors had been already circulating about CBS looking for yet another male co-host for The Talk. The network recently hired the show’s first male co-host, Jerry O’Connell.
An insider of the show told Page Six that the network has not announced Carrie Ann leaving just yet, but they are trying out comedians and athletes to take her place. There has yet to be a reveal as to who the network is hoping to recruit for the co-host position.
