When Stephen King tells you to watch Big Sky, you watch it.
The King of thriller dramas has spoken. In a recent tweet, award-winning author, Stephen King, shared his thoughts on the show, Big Sky. Not only does he believe it’s “the best show on network television,” but he also thinks it could win an Emmy this year. King is an internationally famous author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, crime, science-fiction, and fantasy novels. He’s sold over 350 million copies of his books. And at least 86 of his books have been adapted into films, television series, and miniseries. So, he knows a thing or two about books-turned television shows. That’s why, when he tells us to watch Big Sky, a show based on the books by C.J. Box, we’re going to listen.
In his tweet, King wrote, “I think BIG SKY (ABC) is the best drama on network television. With the last three episodes, it’s tiptoeing into Emmy territory.”
Big Sky follows two detectives as they search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. They quickly discover that there are several other girls who have disappeared in the area. Now, they have to figure out who the killer is before any other girls go missing. The show stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury, and Ryan Phillippe.
This Isn’t The First Time Stephen King Has Commented On Big Sky
Stephen King is a big Big Sky fan. In fact, he frequently posts about the show. Earlier this month, the King tweeted about his favorite line from an episode.
He wrote, “Best line of the week goes to Ronald (Brian Geraghty) in BIG SKY, when talking–shouting–at his mother: “I’M EATING MY CEREAL AND I DON’T WANT JUDGEMENT!”
In December, Stephen posted another quote from the show. He wrote, “BIG SKY gets the best line of the month (so far): “Ronald? Not to overstate the obvious, but you kidnapped the wrong girls.”
We gotta say, we agree, Stephen King. It’s nail-biter show that keeps us on the edge of our seats every Tuesday night.
