In 2017, legendary singer Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac embarked on a solo 67-city “24 Karat Gold Tour,” and now a concert film of the tour is being released in select theaters across the nation.
The new film – appropriately named “Stevie Nicks 24 Karat Gold: The Concert” – was recorded during Nicks’ shows while playing in Pittsburgh and Indianapolis. Joe Thomas directed and produced the film that will see a limited run from Wednesday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 25.
“24 Karat Gold” will feature some of Nicks’ most popular singles. Additionally, for the first time, the iconic singer is able to share with her fans her personal stories along with what inspired some of her most famous songs and lyrics.
“The 24 Karat Gold Tour was my all-time favorite tour,” Nicks explained. “I not only got to sing my songs, but I was able to tell their stories for the first time. I love having the opportunity to share this concert with my fans. From me to you — 24 Karat Gold.”
More Details on Stevie Nicks’ New Concert Film
The “24 Karat Gold Tour” was Nicks’ 17th concert tour during her storied career. The Pretenders opened up for Nicks as her special guest throughout the 2017 tour. The tour followed Nicks’ 2014 studio album “24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault.”
Nicks’ new film will highlight some of the singer’s most well-known songs from both her time in Fleetwood Mac and her solo career. It includes all the songs fans would expect and more, including “Rhiannon,” “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” “Edge of Seventeen,” “Stand Back,” and “Landslide.” In addition, Nicks performs and talks about some of her rarer songs that fans may not know as well.
The concert film will be accompanied by a full album release of the live concert. Following the release of the film, the concert will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital streaming services on Oct. 30.
An exclusive double CD will be made available only at Target. A limited-edition double LP printed on “Crystal-Clear” vinyl will be sold exclusively at Barnes & Noble. Likewise, a standard edition 180-gram black vinyl album will be available everywhere records are sold. Finally, the live concert album will also be released on all streaming services the same day.
Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fans won’t want to miss the short window to catch “24 Karat Gold” on the big screen. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s film will be released in select theaters across the nation. However, it will only be available for viewing once per day during the short run.
