Well, he may have done more than annoy his co-stars – he angered them. And, unsurprisingly, fans of the show were split in their opinions of him. That probably doesn’t bother him, however, because he is a multi-millionaire.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Hester’s net worth is estimated to be $4 million. Hester first appeared in “Storage Wars” in 2010. He left in 2012 but would go on to appear in more episodes. The last time he was seen on the show was in 2017. While appearing on the show, he was known as “The Mogul.”

Fortunately for Dave Hester, the reality television show hasn’t been his only source of income over the years. The 57-year-old is also the owner of Newport Consignment Gallery & Rags to Riches Thrift Store. He has many years of experience in the auction hunting business.

In fact, he started looking for deals when he was just 14 years old. At that point in his life, he would purchase tools and machinery at his local auctions. He would then take the items to the military base where he was living and sell the items to shops there.

It was during the 1990s that Dave Hester began doing the work showcased on “Storage Wars.” At this point, he was a big catcher for storage lockers.

In 1992, he acquired his auctioneer’s license. After this, he began his Newport Consignment Gallery & Rags to Riches Thrift Store. He acquired the funds to do this by selling his father’s train collection. The store began as a 10,000 square foot showroom located in Costa Mesa, California. He started with 15 employees.

The show fired him in 2012. So, he sued the network. The lawsuit was thrown out and Hester was told to pay $122,000. He would not pay. The case was eventually settled, which allowed him to return to the show. Also, during 2015, a fight between Hester and co-stars Dan Dotson and Laura was filmed.

Dave Hester also found himself involved in a lawsuit with the R&B star Trey Songz. The suit was about “Yuuup,” the catchphrase both of them used and sold merchandise with the word on it. This matter was also settled.

In his personal life, the former “Storage Wars” star has been married to Donna Hester for years. Their son is Dave Hester, Jr. He made some appearances on the reality show with his father.

Here’s something interesting about Dave Hester Sr. – in his personal life, he is very different than how he acts when he is on television. In the show, he was very aggressive and an in-your-face type of guy. Away from the cameras, he is the opposite. In private, he is reportedly an introvert.
