‘Storage Wars’: Why Isn’t Jarrod Schulz Part of This Season’s Cast?

by Michael Freeman

Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante used to be an iconic duo on Storage Wars. However, the two broke up in 2018 and Schulz doesn’t appear to be a part of this season’s cast. So, what happened since then and why isn’t he around now?

Distractify recently provided details on the situation with Shulz and much of his absence likely stems from his domestic violence charges. The two broke up in 2018, but after encountering one another in a bar, Jarrod apparently pushed her at some point and was arrested. It should be noted A&E Network hasn’t put out a press release addressing it, so it’s possible Schulz could return.

TMZ reported the pushing incident back in May of this year and detailed the sequence of events. Brandi went to a bar in Orange County with some friends on April 30 and Jarrod also showed up. Soon after, a heated argument occurred and Brandi asked Jarrod to leave. He did not, which escalated things and led to him allegedly pushing her twice. He also yelled at both her and her group of friends extensively. Police eventually showed up, but Jarrod had already left by then. Days later, he talked to police and denied laying hands on Brandi.

Since this event transpired, Jarrod Schulz has been relatively quiet on social media platforms. Conversely, Brandi frequently teases details about season 14 of Storage Wars on her own accounts. As of now, Schulz hasn’t addressed appearing or not appearing on the show and his current role is unknown.

Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante Secretly Broke up Two Years Ago

Though we know now Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante broke up two years ago, that wasn’t common knowledge. In fact, it wasn’t until this year we found out the two actually had split back in 2018.

The breakup itself wasn’t necessarily shocking, but most didn’t know it happened years ago. In an age of social media and secrets spilling out so easily, it was shocking to hear the two hadn’t been together that long. PEOPLE reported on it back in April with details after a Storage Wars episode revealed the two broke up.

“I’m not with Jarrod anymore,” Passante bluntly said during the season 13 premiere of the show. In a separate interview on the show, Schulz also commented “Just because me and Brandi aren’t together anymore, doesn’t mean we can’t go to an auction – but separately.” The episode in question illustrated the two weren’t on great terms, with Passante calling Schulz an idiot for spending $400 on a storage unit that didn’t look like it was worth near that much.

PEOPLE then reported Passante said she broke up with Schulz after season 12 finished filming back in November 2018. Though we don’t know all the reasons, one she frequently cites is raising their children primarily by herself.
