Sturgill Simpson announced an official anime graphic novel.
The Announcement From Sturgill Simpson
Simpson made the announcement for the comic book’s pre-order via social media on Monday, Nov. 23. “Sound and Fury” will hit book shops and digital retailers soon.
“I teamed up with Z2 Comics and bestselling comic book writer Jason Aaron to create an official graphic novel prequel to the Sound & Fury anime film…because why the hell not?!?” Simpson wrote on social media.
The book is written by Jason Aaron and Ryan Cady. Further, Takashi Okazaki, Vasilis Lolos, Rosi Kampe, Rufus Dayglo and Deathburger illustrated the novel. “Sound & Fury chronicles stories from the world before the corporate apocalypse brought on by Slick and Slim and the 1,000 Likes Corporation and the period after,” the description reads.
“Each story interweaves to bring the world of the Sound & Fury anime from Jumpei Mizusaki (Batman Ninja), Kôji Morimoto (Memories, The Animatrix), Michael Arias (Tekkonkinkreet), Masaru Matsumoto (Starship Troopers: Traitors of Mars), Henry Thurlow (Tokyo Ghoul), Arthell Isom (Snowchild), and Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) further to life.”
