‘SWAT’ Star Shemar Moore Shares New Selfie as He Asks Fans ‘What Up’

Outsiders nationally are just recovering from gorging themselves on their Thanksgiving meals and it appears “SWAT” star Shemar Moore is one of them. Taking a moment to relax and step away from both the holiday and the set of “SWAT,” the star turned to Instagram to check in with fans and share a close-up selfie, accompanied with a short, “what up tho.” The heartthrob actor saw a lot of love in return.

With pursed lips, deep brown eyes, and an expression conveying only the slightest of attitude, “SWAT” fans couldn’t help themselves in admitting their love for Moore. “What up yoself babe,” responded one of the star’s many followers. Another humorously called for the “SWAT” star’s attention with, “ITS UR BABYGIRL ME.”

One other fan took a moment to wish Moore a Happy Thanksgiving. “Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving,” the fan began. “Miss seeing you on here.”

Still others commented on the actor’s physique. “[T]his man doesn’t age,” wrote another “SWAT” fan in disbelief.

I don’t know about that, but five seasons following the show’s debut, Shemar Moore is still capturing the hearts of folks everywhere.

Shemar Moore Says Filming ‘SWAT’ Was Strange in 2020

As many actors and actresses surely experienced throughout the heights of the pandemic, “SWAT” star Shemar Moore shared his own thoughts regarding filming throughout 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic led production studios to take numerous precautions when it came to the health and safety of cast and crew and things on the set of “SWAT” were no different.

In a 2020 interview with CBS New York, Moore said, “It’s a little strange,” however, he continued with, “We’re making it happen and I’m very proud.”

In filming during the pandemic, Moore listed some of the things that made the experience so strange.

First and foremost, the “SWAT” actor said, “we’re getting COVID tested constantly. It was supposed to be three days a week but literally because ‘SWAT’ is so hands-on with the action, cops chasing bad guys, and wrestling bad guys to the ground that we get tested pretty much everyday.”

While the intentions are positive and meant to ensure the safety of the cast and crew, the daily test could not have been comfortable. Moore said as much as he detailed that he would get, “a little Q-tip up my nose then I have to spit into a cup. Before we show up to work, we get our temperature taken. It’s different.”

Nevertheless, while filming in the midst of the pandemic was surely strange, “SWAT” marked an impressive milestone. In speaking with the outlet, Moore said “SWAT” was “the first show to come back as far as network television; the first one-hour drama to come back.”
