With his new “S.W.A.T.” season started, show star Shemar Moore teased the premiere with an “explosive” and intense photo.
Moore’s Hondo character kneels next to an injured man in an Instagram photo. With his massive bicep, he reaches up under his flak jacket or bulletproof vest with a strained, serious look.
I’m sure that hot look caused more than a few female fans to stare for a few minutes.
The day before, another muscle-flexing Moore in another “S.W.A.T.” photo. This time, Hondo looks to grapple with a bad guy and his gun.
The second episode of the season, titled “Madrugada,” airs on Friday. Translated from Spanish, the word means “early morning.”
According to Gizmostory, Hondo joins forces with a local police officer only to learn he’s become a target. The other big plot to the episode shows Hicks deciding to split up the S.W.A.T. team permanently.
Mansion Filled With Mom Memories
Hello Magazine featured the “S.W.A.T.” star’s $5.8 million mansion in early October, including several tributes to his late mom.
In 2020, Moore had the opportunity to show off the home to his mother. Days later, she suddenly passed away, according to People Magazine.
Moore decorated the mansion with her “essence” and featured her favorite color, turquoise. Photographs, cards, and a room with the particular turquoise-colored room are part of the Sherman Oaks grand mansion.
The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom home comes with an open-space concept in mind. There’s also a fantastic marble gas fireplace and lots of natural-looking hardwood floors. Don’t forget the fancy cornhole area outside. Moore takes his S.W.A.T. cornhole league pretty seriously along with his show friends.
The kitchen’s got a dual-island with a separate bar area. Another glass-enclosed wine room sits next to an open staircase and glass railing.
The magazine said the “S.W.A.T.” star doesn’t have white walls anywhere, likening them to a “dentist’s office.”
‘S.W.A.T.’ Star’s Hondo Not Like Samuel L. Jackson’s Hondo
The actor/producer said he wouldn’t base his T.V. character on another past film when asked about his role recently.
Famous star Samuel L. Jackson played Hondo in the 2003 “S.W.A.T.” film. The show also featured Colin Farrell, “Mayor Of Kingstown” star Jeremy Renner, “N.C.I.S.” star and singer L.L. Cool J.
Moore joined Kit Hoover and Scott Evans on Access Daily for the scoop in a story. The “S.W.A.T.” actor talked about “playing” or changing his voice for certain scenes on the show.
But the biggest thing was trying to make the character his own.
“How are you going to follow Sam Jackson? I mean, I’m not. I’m just not going to do that… I’m going to do the Shemar Moore Hondo.”
The “S.W.A.T.” star added, “I’m just going to drop my voice, show these abs and let these S-curl eyebrows do what they do.”
