Tanya Roberts’ ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Co-Star Jaclyn Smith Mourns Death of Late Actress in Touching Tribute

Tanya Roberts’ “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Jaclyn Smith offered a sweet tribute to Roberts after passing away on Monday. 

On Monday night, the former actress and model died while hospitalized in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

News outlets mistakenly reported Robert’s death on Sunday, when her publicist announced that she’d passed away when she was still alive.

After her confirmed passing, Smith shared an emotional post in memorial of her co-star. On Tuesday, the actress shared a throwback photo of herself with Tanya Roberts and co-star Cheryl Ladd. 

 “Tanya joined #CharliesAngels for the final season, closing it out as it was initially intended with a redhead, a brunette and a blonde,” she described in the caption. 

“She brought joy to so many people and had a career spanning decades.”

 “Good bye angel, Rest In Peace,” the 75-year-old concluded. 

Tanya Roberts Remembered For Iconic Roles

Smith had a starring role in all five seasons of “Charlie’s Angels,” playing Kelly Garrett from 1976 to 1981.

According to IMDB, Tanya Roberts joined the cast in its final season as Julie Rogers, starring 16 episodes alongside Smith and Ladd. 

Tanya Roberts also accompanied Roger Moore as an iconic Bond girl in the 1985 film, A View to a Kill. Roberts played Stacey Sutton, an American geologist who becomes a target of the film’s villain, Max Zorin, played by Christopher Walken. The film marked Moore’s last time playing the recognizable spy. 

Although many fans may likely remember Roberts for her role as Midge Pinciotti, the mother of Donna Pinciotti on the hit television series “That ’70s Show.” The fans knew the character for annoying her teenage daughter and her husband with her hilarious one-liners, often bringing moments of fun cheerfulness to the show. 

In 2001, Roberts left the show to care for her terminally ill husband but had a brief comeback in 2004.

On Tuesday, Roberts’ partner, Lance O’Brien, said Roberts died on Monday night following her hospitalization for complications of a urinary tract infection.

The infection eventually got into her blood after spreading to her kidneys, liver, and gallbladder.
