Ted Nugent Speaks Out After Positive Test: ‘Never Been So Sick in My Life’

Legendary rock musician Ted Nugent recently revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19. According to Fox News, the 72-year old rocker also endured severe symptoms. During a Facebook Live on Monday, Nugent filled in his fans on his symptoms.

“You probably can’t tell because of my positive spirit, my positive attitude plows right through all of the negative,” he began in the video. “Everybody told me I should not announce this, but can you hear it, I have had flu symptoms for the last ten days,” Nugent described from his Michigan ranch.

Nugent described how he felt physically miserable for days until he visited his doctor Monday and was tested, he revealed in the nearly nine-minute video. “I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days, but I did, I crawled,” he continued. In addition, Nugent said he suffered “body aches” and “a stuffed-up head.”

He also said he’ll follow orders to remain in isolation: “I’m homebound, i.e. quarantine.”However, he maintained his stance that he won’t be getting the vaccine in the video. After announcing the news, Nugent’s fans wished him a speedy recovery in the comment’s section. At 72-years-old, his age puts him in a high-risk group.

His name was also trending on Twitter on Tuesday morning — a week after he made headlines for appearing to be confused about what “COVID-19” means. Earlier this month, the “Stranglehold” singer canceled his 2021 tour because of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Concert Archives, Nugent’s last concert was August of 2019 in his home state of Michigan. The Music Made Me Do It was Nugent’s last solo album. Nugent released the record on November 9, 2018, through Round Hill 9 records.

Months ago, Nugent made headlines for publicly doubting whether or not coronavirus even existed. He called it a “scamming pandemic.” He also stated that he would not take any vaccine.

“It’s not a real pandemic and that’s not a real vaccine, I’m sorry, I ain’t taking no vaccine,” Nugent told fans in a video on Christmas Day. “You come at me with a needle and I will be in fear of my life. You know what I’ll do if you come at me with a needle. ‘Hi, I’m from the government, this needle’s good for you.’ F— you.”

In a Facebook post from November, Nugent ranted about pharmaceutical companies and their development of the COVID-19 vaccine.
