According to celebritynetworth.com, Betty Lynn’s net worth is now estimated to be around $3 million. Various sources also noted that Lynn’s net worth does not include her assets, which have yet to be revealed. 

As previously reported, Betty Lynn passed away on Saturday (October 16th) at the age of 95. She was famously known for playing Thelma Lou on The Andy Griffith Show from 1960 to 1966. Lynn was in various TV shows like My Three Sons, Family Affair, Texas John Slaughter as well as Cheaper By the Dozen (1950), The Hangman, Lousiana Hussy, and Meet Me in Las Vegas. She also appeared in the made-for-TV movie, Return to Mayberry.

According to her obituary, Betty Lynn began her career as a performer by touring with the USO during World War II. After returning from the War, she appeared on Broadway and signed a movie contract with 20th Century Fox. Lynn won a TV Land Legend Award for her role on The Andy Griffith Show.

During a previous interview, Betty Lynn spoke about how many people sow up to the Andy Griffith Museum in Mouth Airy, North Carolina when she stops by. “I’m always amazed at how many [people] do [show up],” The Andy Griffith Show star explained. “It’s wonderful. I feel sorry when I see how many have to stand there and wait. They have to get in line.”

The Andy Griffth Show castmate also shared that people always want to talk for a minute about the series and have long they’ve watched it. “They ask me about what my favorite show is and of course I don’t have one favorite. I’ve got a lot of favorites. And so I just have a good time with them really.”

While also talking about her role as Thelma Lou, Lynn revealed who was also looking to play the role. “They weren’t called Thelma Lou. They were called other names, but they played opposite Don Knotts.”

When asked about meeting Marilyn Monroe, The Andy Griffith Show beauty, shared, “Marilyn was under contract with Fox when I arrived. However, they let her go, and then they brought her back. She was a star when they brought her back. I knew her in both cases.”

Betty Lynn also stated she liked the actress and described her as a “very talented girl.” She further recalled. “I really have always liked Marilyn and I cried when she died. I felt so bad.

Lynn noted that she thought maybe she could have done something if she had maybe been able to reach Monroe. “I felt really bad and felt very sad.”
