If you are a fan of “The Conners” on ABC, then you better set aside time for a couple of surprises as the third season winds down.

First up, Maya Lynne Robinson will return in her role as DJ’s wife Geena, according to TVLine.com. She was a regular cast member during the show’s first season. Now she was deployed to Afghanistan in “The Conners” storyline between seasons one and two. But Robinson also is a part of the CBS program “The Unicorn.”

Right now, Robinson is waiting to see if the network picks up “The Unicorn” for a third season. She’s going to show up and reportedly make some decisions that will affect her, DJ, and their daughter Mary.

Jackie From ‘The Conners’ Looks To Make Big Money On Game Show

Second, Jackie, played by Laurie Metcalf, is going on “Jeopardy!” and see if she can get some big money. Guess who will be hosting the game show? None other than Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers quarterback and “Celebrity Jeopardy!” champion.

Now she’s going to be doing her best to get Rodgers’ attention. Yet Jackie has to play the game like the other contestants.

Both of these events will make “The Conners” some must-see television over their final two episodes this season. Oh yeah, you might catch Candice Bergen and Brian Austin Greene showing up again, too. It’s not going to be a dull end to the ABC sitcom, that’s for sure.

“The Conners” is on ABC’s Wednesday night lineup. Catch it at 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central.

Katey Sagal Plans On Being A Part of Show On Recurring Basis

While we’re talking about characters on “The Conners” returning, one current cast member plans on being a part of the show going forward.

Katey Sagal plans on joining the Conner family for as long as they’ll and the show producers will have her. She doesn’t foresee a conflict between that show and her new drama, “Rebel.”

“I’ve actually been doing ‘The Conners’ while I’ve been doing ‘Rebel’ and it’s in my contract because I’m hoping to continue doing ‘The Conners,'” Sagal told AP Entertainment. “I love that over there. You know, I can’t do the whole season, but I can do what I did last season, which was I think 10 episodes.”

Of course, classic TV fans remember Sagal from her days on “Married … With Children.”
