“The Conners” is embracing the game show world. And it’s also bringing Aaron Rodgers back to “Jeopardy!” as a guest star as well.

In a clip from the upcoming episode, Rodgers is once again behind the lectern and back in his element. But the Green Bay Packers will have to face a challenge he didn’t last time as guest host. Namely, Jackie is one of the contestants on the show. And she’s bringing all of her usual sitcom antics to the “Jeopardy!” world.

Just take a look at the clip below. Rodgers’ fiancee Shailene Woodley better watch out. Jackie and Rodgers have a natural chemistry together. Well, at least they do in Jackie’s mind. Rodgers appears bewildered in the clip by Jackie trying to flirt with him.

“This. I’ve been feeling this. The obvious chemistry here,” Jackie says during the clip. A clueless Rodger responds to Jackie, “Between who and who?”

But never phased, Jackie says, “We’re really going to do this.”

Aaron Rodgers and ‘Jeopardy!’

The big question “Jeopardy!” fans’ minds is if the guest spot means Aaron Rodgers will land a permanent hosting spot on the show. It’s possible that “The Conners” filmed the episode back when Rodgers was guest hosting the game show.

But Rodgers would definitely love to join the show on a full-time basis. It was probably nice for the athlete to step back into the role even briefly. Rodgers was one of several guest hosts to join the show since late host Alex Trebek passed. CNN host Anderson Cooper took over the role following Rodgers. Over the past few months, ratings have fluctuated for the game show. But many agree that Rodgers has been a bright spot on “Jeopardy!”

“No, I’m not going to [quit football]. I just won MVP, I still have a lot left in the tank,” Rodgers explained. “I’m still going to play, and I’d love to host ‘Jeopardy!’ at the same time. ‘Jeopardy!’ films five shows a day, 46 days a year. That’s 230 episodes. And I work for six months out of the year. So the other six months, I would have time to probably film 46 days I think.”

Rodgers has made headlines in recent weeks for NFL drama with Green Bay. The quarterback is reportedly at odds with his team and looking for greener pastures. For one, Rodgers didn’t appreciate Green Bay drafting his eventual replacement and he wants out. But Green Bay isn’t budging on their contract.

It remains to be seen if Rodgers ends up becoming permanent host on “Jeopardy!.”
