Carrie Ann Inaba may be on hiatus from The Talk. But she’s definitely back to living a very full life.
And we all know she loves to share snaps on her Instagram account. She spent the weekend with her relatives, celebrating a terrific family moment. The pandemic curtailed family celebrations in 2020, but hanging with your relatives is cool again.
Inaba posted a photo of herself with her nephew and her on-again/off-again boyfriend Fabien Viteri. The Talk co-host wrote:
“What a beautiful day celebrating my nephew’s graduation from college! @matthew_mead_pickleball I’m so excited for you and I’m awe of the adult you have become. You’ve always been such a kind and loving and empathetic being… and it’s so heartwarming to see you shine. I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things you will do in this world.”
Inaba Still On Hiatus From The Talk
Inaba shares life details, big or small, on social media as she gets through a medical leave from The Talk. It’s still not clear whether she’s returning to the show. She said she’d provide details later. But the timetable is hers to share.
One of the reasons she left The Talk was to get her body into better shape, both physically and mentally. She suffers from chronic pain caused by old injuries and an autoimmune disease. And when your body is in pain, your spirit suffers, too.
Inaba joined The Talk as a co-host back in 2019. She became the full-time replacement for original moderator Julie Chen. But she took a leave in April, a few weeks after Sharon Osbourne left the show because of the controversy over her comments about Piers Morgan. The Talk producers recently hired Jerry O’Connell to fill Osbourne’s open spot on set.
After The Talk announcement of O’Connell, Inaba posted on social media: “I noticed a lot of you are asking about The Talk, if I’m coming back and what’s happening there. I should have some news soon about what’s going on with my future and The Talk. As soon as I know what’s going on with The Talk I will let you know, I promise.”
Inaba also provided more clues about The Talk in an Instagram Q&A. She wrote: “I’m so grateful The Talk has given me this time to take care of myself and be on this incredible healing journey,” Inaba said, according to Us Weekly. “We are probably going to sit down and have some discussions about what the future is and when I go back, maybe the end of this month … I do miss everybody at The Talk and I look forward to be able to do what I love to do when the time is right.”
However, there is good news on other fronts, the dancing kind of fronts. Although Inaba hasn’t answered questions about The Talk, she did agree to stick with Dancing with the Stars. The popular reality show is returning for its 30th season. Inaba is one of the three original judges of the show that started as a charming summer series back in 2005. It became a pop culture sensation as celebrities compete with professional dancers for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
