Carrie Ann Inaba, who took a medical hiatus from The Talk earlier this year, is dropping hints that she’ll know soon about her future with the show.
“I noticed a lot of you are asking about The Talk,” Carrie Ann Inaba said, via Instagram. “If I’m coming back and what’s happening there. I should have some news soon about what’s going on with my future and The Talk.
“As soon as I know what’s going on with The Talk I will let you know, I promise. I’m very excited about Dancing With the Stars starting on September 20. We got our official date and everything’s good, and I look forward to sharing with you guys the news about The Talk.”
Inaba recently did share good news. She’s returning as a judge on Dancing with the Stars. There had been some questions about her availability for the long-time ABC reality show. Host Tyra Banks said she wanted her back. And it wouldn’t be the same show without Carrie Ann Inaba, since she brings such raw emotion when she judges the celebrities.
Carrie Ann Inaba posted on her Instagram:
“Bring on the ballroom. Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC September 20 at 8|7c! I’ll be there! Will you? Who’s ready for our 30th season.”
Carrie Ann Inaba Joined The Talk in 2019
Inaba, the choreographer and one-time Fly Girl, has worked with Dancing with the Stars since it started as a summer reality show in 2005.
The Talk was a newer experience. She joined the show in 2019 as the full-time replacement for original panelist Julie Chen. But this past April, Carrie Ann Inaba abruptly took a medical leave from the daytime talk show. It followed Osbourne’s leaving The Talk over her comments about Piers Morgan.
The 53-year-old Carrie Ann Inaba promised to share her experiences. She’s documented her physical therapy and gives her views on mental self-care via social media.
“When it all kind of settles into my mind, I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned in order to help everybody else who might be struggling with similar issues,” she said. “And I know we’re all kind of struggling. This year was rough opening up. Life is coming back to quote normal, but obviously it’s a new normal. We’re actually moving forward and not backwards.”
