‘The Talk’ Co-Host Carrie Ann Inaba Opens Up About ‘Giving Energy’ in New Motivational Clip

Through a recent social media post, “The Talk” co-host Carrie Ann Inaba is encouraging her followers to share what they have been given with others. She posted this new motivational clip on Monday, July 19.

“Good morning. … Today’s thought of the day. This is one of the boxes that I pull from,” Inaba says as she holds up a small box filled with cards. “I pull from books. I have so many on quotes and things like that.”

“The Talk” co-host then selects a card and reads the motivational quote of the day. It comes from Isabel Allende.

“Give, give, give,” Inaba reads from the quote. “What is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don’t give it away? Or having stories if I don’t tell them to others? Or having wealth if I don’t share it? I don’t intend to be cremated with any of it. It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world, and with the divine.”

After reading the quote, “The Talk” star reflects on what it means to her and offers advice on how others can apply it to their lives.

“Right. So true,” she also says. “I really do believe, like, that everything that we have is a gift. Not only if we consider it a gift for ourselves; it’s a gift – meaning it’s a gift and you have to give it away as well.”

‘The Talk’ Co-Host Carrie Ann Inaba Says ‘Nothing Is Really Ours to Keep’

During her reflection, “The Talk” star also describes giving away one’s things and talents as making a cycle “complete.”

“So, I have found that when I give away things that are important to me, the feeling that you get – I don’t want to say the reward because that makes it sound like, oh, I’m doing it to get something. It’s not about that,” she shares. “It’s about when you do it, the cycle becomes complete, you know. Energy is about motion. And, if you covet something and you just hold on to it and you don’t move it or share it or give it away, it becomes stagnant and it dies.”

Inaba also shares her belief that what humans possess in our lives is “all energy.” Because of this, she advises that people do the best with what they have received. She says “to keep it moving.”

“Share it, give it away, grow it, mold it, and then put it back out into the world,” she says. “Because nothing is really ours to keep.”

Along with the video, Carrie Ann Inaba added the following captions on Instagram:

“Give give…. Thoughts about giving. Quote of the Day… Why giving is so important….share and give. It makes life so much better. And remember that everything is energy so we have to keep it moving… and don’t forget… Have a beautiful day! #motivationmonday,” “The Talk” co-host posted to Instagram on Monday, July 19.
