Carrie Ann Inaba isn’t enjoying 2021. And that’s not hyperbole.
Inaba already is on leave from The Talk. Then on Wednesday, she announced via her Instagram “I AM SINGLE AGAIN.” She put it in all caps, so the heart break and/or frustration was evident.
Carrie Ann Inaba also wrote “I am also… grateful for what was. Confused. Uncertain of the future. Sad. Hopeful.
“Trying to allow the emotions. Trying to be strong,” she wrote. “Allowing myself space to cry. And I will grow and I will evolve and I will survive this too. And I will honor the gift that it was.”
Carrie Ann Inaba Started Dating Fabien Viteri During COVID Lock Down
Carrie Ann Inaba started dating Fabien Viteri near the start of last year’s lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic. On the season premiere of The Talk last September, Inaba announced the happy news that she was in love and in a committed relationship. The couple enjoyed a meet-cute moment. They discovered each other while out walking their dogs in the neighborhood.
Inaba said Sharon Osbourne, who was the now former moderator of The Talk, facilitated her relationship.
“Mrs. O, you asked for it,” Inaba said. “Remember, for the beginning of the year we did our dreams and our wishes for everybody? You called it. So, thank you. I wish you would have done it earlier, but anyway.”
Carrie Ann Inaba also talked about Viteri while on the talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan.
“I am seeing somebody new. During quarantine I was really fortunate that I met somebody who’s very special,” Inaba said. “We actually met walking our dogs. He lives literally, like, a [few] blocks away.”
“We met at the beginning of quarantine, so I was really lucky because I didn’t have to go through this whole thing by myself,” she said. “We’re taking it slow and it’s really great. He’s actually an overlander, but I call it ‘outlanding.’ It was great because early summer we went camping in his backyard.”
Carrie Ann Inaba is 53. She has never been married, but was engaged, twice.
The Dancing with the Stars judge also is dealing with chronic pain, which was why she took a break from The Talk last month. She has an auto-immune condition and lingering injuries from all her years of dancing. Before she began making a living as a TV personality, Inaba was a beautiful dancer and choreographer. She first broke into American show business in 1990 as a “Fly Girl” on In Living Color.
Carrie Ann Inaba updated her health status last week by posting photos from physical therapy sessions. She’s been doing those twice a week since March. Doctors diagnosed her with lupus last year. She also is suffering from spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.
