‘The Talk’ Has Unwelcome Visitor Show Up on Stage, Leaves Fans Freaking Out

Co-Hosts of the hit CBS daytime show The Talk had a little unwelcome visitor show up on stage earlier this week.

According to TMZ, a cockroach was seen crawling up the wall while the ladies were chatting about an unruly passenger on a Delta flight from LAX to ATL. The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood remained completely oblivious to the roach’s appearance behind her. The other co-hosts didn’t notice either.

The Talk fans of course took notice of the “special guest,” with one taking to Twitter and saying, “OMG so I’m watching The Talk [and] Sheryl Underwood is talking about the out of control passenger [and] this big a— cockroach literally walks pass in one of the pictures behind her head. He made [his] 1st television debut da— even the roaches get on tv [before] me.” Another fan also tweeting, “Am I the only one who [saw] the bug (cockroach) crawling on the wall just on The Talk?”

The Talk Recently Renewed Following Co-Host Shake-Ups

The roach’s appearance comes just days after The Talk was renewed for its 12th season by CBS. The show features discussions on various topics, including current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, and family. The Talk’s IMDB description reads, “A weekday gabfest offering a female perspective on the day’s headlines.” The show’s original co-hosts were Sara Gilbert, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, Julie Chen, and Sharon Osbourne.

The Talk experienced some drama earlier this spring when co-host Sharon Osbourne departed from the panel after having a heated discussion about Piers Morgan regarding his stance on Meghan Markle’s royal interview statements. She left the show on March 26th.

A month after Osbourne’s departure from The Talk, co-host Carrie Ann Inaba also announced on Twitter she was taking a break from the panel. “I have decided to take a leave of absence from [The Talk] to focus on my health and well-being,” She tweeted. “I appreciate the support from you and my family at The Talk and hope to be back soon.”

Carrie Ann recently shared her excitement for The Talk’s 12th season renewal by stating on Instagram, “[The Talk] has been renewed for another season! Congratulations to everyone who works on the show!” Inaba also beams on the post, “12 Seasons is incredible…. All the people you don’t see behind the scenes…. It’s a huge family that makes this show go! The hard work, the love, the kindness, the artistry, the multitude of skills it takes [to] create a daily show.”

The Talk’s current co-hosts are Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, and Elaine Welteroth. There has yet to be word as to if or when Carrie Ann will be returning to the panel. There has also been no announcement of who will replace Osbourne.
