Meghan McCain will leave The View very soon. In fact, Friday will be her last day as a co-host on the popular daytime talk show. It seems that the upcoming departure has emboldened McCain to more fully speak her mind. After all, it isn’t as if she has to worry about being fired from the show, at this point. When they talked about Kathy Griffin’s cancer announcement on Monday’s episode, McCain took the time to talk at length about why she didn’t like the comedian.

Former The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell is having none of that. She took to Twitter to voice her disapproval of Meghan McCain’s remarks. Check out the post below.

In the post, Rosie O’Donnell retweeted a post from The Chat. The original tweet contains Meghan McCain’s ill-timed rant along with her co-host, Whoopi Goldberg’s response to that rant. O’Donnell kept her caption short and to the point. “What’s wrong with you mm? She just announced that she has lung cancer.” Rosie followed this with the hashtag #comeON

At this time, Meghan McCain has not responded to Rosie O’Donnell or any of the other people who have come out against her after her tirade about Griffin.

Clay Aiken Contradicts Meghan McCain

In her rant, Meghan McCain cited Griffin’s jokes about Clay Aiken as one of the main reasons that she has a problem with the comedian. Almost two decades ago, McCain says, Griffin made “very very very cruel and homophobic remarks about [Aiken] before he was out of the closet.” She went on to say that Griffin led a campaign of bullying against the man who she says is “ostensibly [her] brother.”

Meghan McCain continued, saying that Aiken is “lucky he didn’t end up becoming an opioid addict given the degree of bullying that happened to him.”

Clay Aiken didn’t have anything to say about Meghan McCain’s comments. He did, however, have some words for Kathy Griffin.

Yesterday, Aiken tweeted, “Love and prayers for my dear friend Kathy Griffin! Selfless and gracious, she even hosted a fundraiser for my congressional campaign years ago. Get well soon Kathy. I miss your jokes.” The post also contained a cute throwback photo of Aiken and Griffin hugging and wearing big smiles.

In her rant, Meghan McCain also mentioned the infamous photo that Griffin posted of a mask made to look like then-president Trump’s severed head. However, she based most of her ire on the “hurtful” things that Griffin said about Aiken in the early 2000s. She went so far as to demand that Griffin publicly apologize to Aiken.

However, it looks like Clay Aiken doesn’t need an apology from Griffin. In fact, it appears that they are on very good terms.
