“The Voice” coaches are adding a whole new level to “glamping.”

Kelly Clarkson just shared a new promo for the next season of “The Voice” on NBC. It features the four coaches — Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Ariana Grande.

“Today’s promo is about how we regularly just chill around a campfire and sing and the whole thing is kinda cute and outdoorsy. This is us welcoming Ariana,” Clarkson said.

The four coaches are all sitting around a makeshift campfire in the middle of a studio stage. Ariana Grande, who is starting her first-ever season as a coach, appears in a glittery, sparkling dress next to Clarkson.

Upcoming Season of ‘The Voice’

The show is entering its 21st season in the near future. Unlike past years, “The Voice” will only air one series in the 2021-2022 season rather than two. Typically, the show will air in the fall and in the spring but now will only premiere in the fall.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC told reporters that “we want to eventize this iconic series. The best way to protect the brand while super-serving fans is to produce one amazing cycle this season.” The show has slipped in ratings by about 25% in the adults 18-49 demographic and about 12% in overall viewers. This is the case in both the fall and the spring.

Ariana Grande is replacing Nick Jonas as a coach. He was first a coach in season 18 and went to the finals with Thunderstorm Artis. Then he returned in season 20 to take over for Gwen Stefani.

“As an undeniable force in pop music, Ariana’s inimitable success in the music industry is extraordinary. We were thrilled to learn that she is a true fan of The Voice and know that this enthusiasm will add to her impact as a dynamic coach. Ariana is a visionary with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Her unmatched vocal skills, creativity and unique expertise on all facets of the industry will make her an invaluable coach to the next generation of artists,” Jenny Groom, the Executive Vice President of Unscripted Content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said to THR.

Former Champion’s Concert

Last season, Cam Anthony wowed both the coaches and America, earning him the title of “The Voice” in season 20. He was on Team Blake.

According to the Daily Times, Anthony played a concert where he was the opener for a former coach and advisor of “The Voice.”

On July 4, he performed at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. He was the opening act for Bebe Rexha and Flo Rida. The concert was free to the public. It marked the end of the two-week-long events in celebration of Juneteenth.

Bebe Rexha was an official advisor for Team Blake back in season 18 of the show.
